"Sunday Morning" Breakfast

I woke up at 5 in the morning on Sunday and I could not go back to sleep. So what do I do to make use of my time? I did a breakfast tablescape for 2.
I used a chicken tureen for my main centerpiece and added some faux orange flowers in an orange pitcher and some candles.

I started with a lace placemat, tin lace plate chargers, then a Bavarian Tirschenreuth luncheon and salad plates, topped with a Staffordshire W.H. Grindley "Sunday Morning" English transferware bread or dessert plate.
I added a cup and saucer in the same pattern.

Bavarian Tirschenreuth plates, but I cannot find the pattern name. I love the simplicity and the graceful edge.
Teacup and saucer set is included in the Staffordshire W.H. Grindley "Sunday Morning" transferware. I really like that there is pattern inside the teacup too.
I have had this duck S & P shakers for years. I don't know why I have never used it but I think the color fits the season perfectly now.

Brown tin angel wings were used as napkin rings. I love the rustic look.
I bought the crystal stemware a few months ago from an estate sale in town. I think I paid $25 for 8 of them including 8 matching smaller dessert or appetizer stems. They are so delicate.
It's still very dark outside, lol.
 The candle smells so good!
My favorite find for this past Saturday is this heavy wrought iron candelabra for $5 in a rummage sale.
I love having you all come by and I enjoy reading your comments. Thank you so much!

And I thank our hostesses for these fun memes.

This is so pretty, Christine. You are creative even first thing in the morning! I bet John was happy to see this (and maybe expecting breakfast, too?). I love your dishes and I think the S&P birds are my favorite!

I think that if I got up that early in the morning I would be doing as little as possible!!!! Kudos to you for digging in and doing something creative! This is beautiful, and it would be a welcome way to start the day. The salt & pepper shakers are really a great addition to the overall look!

I'm thinking a big fluffy omelette would be perfect for when John comes walking in for breakfast. Great tablescape; the Grindley is a charming pattern. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

Now that is what I need to start doing when I wake up early! I had to laugh because hubby would say, "What were you rattling around downstairs so early!" I love that you did a fun breakfast for two. Perfect. If I did that, then maybe he wouldn't mind my rattling!

Well you certainly made good use of your time! I am having trouble waking up too early- blaming the time change on it!! I really love the scene on those plates! I need to not be so lazy in the morning and create something like this- especially on the weekends! Lovely table!

Christine, I love the way you used that EARLY morning time on Sunday to set a pretty table! And how perfect is that china for a Sunday breakfast?! It always takes me a few days to get used to the time change, too -- but fall is better than spring, when we lose a precious hour!
