Juts as I said last week, I am creating a series of patriotic tablescapes until Independence day. This is my second one.
Covered with a lace tablecloth, I placed my ceramic red rooster plate chargers on the table.
This time I set the game table in the family room.
Here is the close up of the dinner plate.
The dinner plates are in Charles Wysocki's Americana pattern manufactured by Nikko. I have had them for a long time but I do not remember where I got them from. You see, I have been a dishaholic even before the birth of Tablescape Thursday.
Here is a close up of the dinner plate
I only have 2, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. I wonder if others are available. I will have to research further. I got them Ebay when I still lived in Florida.
Note the American flag and roosters and birds on the dinner plates. Doesn't the plate look like a folk art?
The roosters on the plates gave me an idea of using other rooster accessories too like plate chargers, flatware and S & P shakers.

Blue dotted crystals for wine stems and an egg shaped Polish pottery S & P shaker.
For a centerpiece, I mixed a red, white and blue candle holder with smaller blue and white ceramic delft candle holders I bought from the Dutch side of St. Maarten and a vase with red faux flowers.
Those patriotic plates are some of the most beautiful ever Christine!
ReplyDeleteThis table is elegant and patriotic, with the gorgeous crocheted tablecloth!
Great Job!

ReplyDeleteGREAT table, Christine!!! I am going to do a few patriotic tables too, but after we get home from vacation. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty! I love visiting and seeing all the pretty tablesettings in blogland. I probably should put more effort into my table settings, However, these days my dining table is more of a work area than anything else.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week.

I like this tablescape a lot Christine. It is the perfect balance of red and blue. I love Charles Wysocki. My late sister had quite a collection of his paintings. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the rooster flatware! Wherever did you find it?! I like all of the details, too. Alan will love to see your Polish potter S & P's!! By the way, he is now reading The Turning Angel. You have created a monster!!

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteI believe this smaller table setting is one of my favorites of yours. Of course I love the red rooster chargers and the rooster flatware. Going to have to find me some of those. I sure do miss you at my blog and our visits. Hope you have a great day and stay cool in all this heat!
Beautiful tablescape Christine, very patriotic and summery. I love the back of the plate dedicated to all Americans, then you read down lower and see that it's made in Japan! That's commerce for you!

Lovin' the header too!
Come visit soon!
This is a beautifully patriotic display! Love the plates!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking patriotic table! I love that Americana plate. Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!
ReplyDeleteI took my first glance and thought how much this reminds me of Philly, Pa. Upon looking and reading the plate information I was right. Brings back memories of the entire Philly area with the quaint historical homes by the water and Independence Hall and Betsy Ross house etc. They have the most amazing window boxes on the homes there and they always have little American flags in them. Thanks for the memories. You are always having fun with the things you purchase and I appreciate you sharing with me.

Another wonderful table, Christine! Those red chargers are perfect to set off your blue and white plates. Love the Americana plates -- so much detail to enjoy! And the bicentennial plates are fun to see, too. Delightful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful table.. I love your red chargers.. they are out of this world.. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteI love how you put all of these things together. It is such a nice looking table.
ReplyDeleteHello again... The house is still a work in progress. I just quit my job because the atmosphere is just not my cup of tea and the authority factor is a bit inept.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm getting there... I'm slowly doing the Feng Shui consult first to help inspire the design direction. Been practicing it for a decade now.
Hi Christine, I so love your tablecloth. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteChristine,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful table scape!! I love your red chargers and those avon plates are just so charming and they look so enchanting on top of those chargers!!

Christine, that looks so nice. Everyone of those plates tells really a story. As child I couldn't eat from that, I had always push the food from one side to the other to enjoy the pictures on it. So cute. I love the stemware with the blue dots on it. Very nice tablescape.
ReplyDeleteGretings, Johanna
