He offered me to review one of their products and I could select anything for $100 or I could have the option to review a product for $50 and share the $50 to one of my readers. I chose the latter, to share with my readers, as an appreciation for your faithful visits.
These hand made glasses are just gorgeous! I love the cobalt blue rims and the natural bubbly thick glass.
They are perfect, paired with my other hand blown set of margarita glasses. They also came so nicely and carefully packed, no chance of breakage at all.
My tablescape consists of a multicolored, but mostly blue and yellow, runner from Roatan, Honduras, Italian Meridiana "Ceramiche" plates and bowls, blue and yellow French toile placemats, Mexican glasses and Italian pottery jars.
Nothing here is new except for the Mexican hand blown glasses from Novica. Oh and also the 2 gold plated roses that John gave me for our anniversary. The third one was also given by him last Valentine's day. Everything else was just gathered from around the house.
I love the shape of these Italian dishes. They are like a wavy square or maybe a trapezoid. I bought the blue flatware from Neiman Marcus a while back when they were on sale. I also have them in black that I bought from Marshalls and TJ Maxx and another red set from Neiman Marcus. Do you think I like them that much? Yes, I do! I like the Frenchy pewter like things on their handles.
The white off shaped square ceramic plate chargers are made in Portugal. I say off shaped because if you hadn't noticed, two sides are pointed but the 2 opposite sides are rounded. I have had them for a while but this is the first time I got to use them.
Nothing says Italian more than olives so I added my mini olive tree (It's live!) and some olives in a matching small bowl. No, they were not picked from this tree, lol.
Food will have to be served because there is no place for food here. These jars are huge, but they make a statement, don't they?
Oh my mistake. I have something else new. We just bought these small potted rosemarie placecard holders from Pottery barn, during our visit to Charleston, SC this past weekend. They were on sale for a little over $3 each. I thought they would be perfect for a garden setting too.
I added my Italian chef salt and pepper shaker. His body separates into 2. The bottom part is the pepper shaker and the top, the salt, and little blue Polish Pottery dishes for a dipping sauce.

Something like that would work out perfectly in my entryway! It's amazing all the things that are out there that you don't know about until someone blogs about it. I've never heard of Novica until now, either. I can't get over those dishes! The wavy pattern is so unique, and I really like the color combination and overall design. They have a look that could cross over (globally!) from Italy to Mexico and everywhere in between! The glasses are GREAT!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on a wonderful acquisition, and have a fantastic weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI had to go visit.. so many ethnic beauties to be found.. I think I'd have to put it towards Ceramic candleholder, 'Christmas Light'.. or the tree of light candleholder.. it's so pretty and something I can't get around here! thanks for hosting this lovely giveaway! xo marlis

ReplyDeleteChristine, one thing I love about giveaways and I have noticed it on mine, is that someone may think they are a follower because they have been following you, but not officially! I think I haven't been a follower because I couldn't even find where you kept your followers and then I had a feeling to look at the bottom of the page and I knew for sure I was not an official person yet!

ReplyDeleteChristine, what a fun table you set! I really like the vase with the "gathered" top, how interesting it is. I love that flatware, too. I would like to have a few sets in different colors myself; I have a cream set which I love.
ReplyDeleteOne of my colors is cobalt; I am always drawn to blue. Your wineglasses would be my choice as well; they are so pretty. It's nice to know as well, that they coordinate nicely with the glasses you already had.
I am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice post with so many elegant things; never knew so much about Novica until I read your post. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIf I win the give-a-way contest, then I would buy the 100% Alpaca wool scarf, 'Rose Winter' from Novica's website. I really like the pitchers, like the confetti one and the lemon sorbet. All are very nice & they have a terrific selection of artistic handcrafted items!
ReplyDeleteChristine, I always look forward to seeing your table settings. You have such an eye for detail. I find myself looking so carefully at each and every thing you place on the table.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you get all your ideas but you seem to come up with really awesome tablescapes each week. You can do your own book and I bet you'll make a lot of money selling it to us. I, for one will buy it as a 'coffee table book!' I've heard of Novica before but not sure where. I'd love to enter the contest although I'm never lucky enough to win... I did check their website and fell in love with the Talavera Wilderness ceramic bowl and the set of 6 Blue Can Cun wine goblets. Should I win, it will be a toss-up
ReplyDeletebetween those 2!
Oh, I love this tablescape, and those glasses! I would really like some just like them, but I went over and found something different so I wouldn't be a copycat.
ReplyDeleteBut this is a marvelous table, Christine!
XO,
Sheila
Am I a follower? You bet! :-)
ReplyDeleteXO,

Now, as to goodies...
ReplyDeleteI am in love with a pair of bowls I saw that were $24+ the pair. So I figured I could get two pair and do a tablescape for St. Augustine! That would be right on the money!
Oh, and the bowls are made by a man from Junajauto (sp) which is where I was supposed to have spent my junior year in college, studying Spanish for the summer, but the program didn't make. I love Mexico! You know I fell in love with Mr. Magpie there on a class trip in high school? I did! And my parents went there on their honeymoon.
Ole!
xo,
Sheila
Hi Christine, Your table is beautiful and I love the new glasses. I bought some jewelry last year from Novica and it was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your pretty table at my party and of course I am a follower.

Thank you for informing me of your "Giveway." I love Novica. They always carry very unique gifts. As you know, I'm a follower. I couldn't limit myself to one item. Truthfully, I would use the $50 gift card towards my total purchases. I adore the Buriti Palm tote bag "Riveting Rio." I would also purchase the Sahara Camel bookends. And of course, I'd buy as much jewelry my husband would allow, Ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for sharing with me. I do hope I win. Those are fabulous glasses. Great tablescape jewels.
Hugs,
Gigi
Christine..you have shown us that you don't have to spend tons of money to set a lovely and elegant table, however..I am one that feels you either "have it or you don't" and in your case, you are just one that "has it!" so to speak.
ReplyDeleteEverything you touch turns to gold...that's how I feel!!
And by the way..the photo's of you and your husband were so nice.
You are so photogenic. NO bad pictures of you, ever!
Christine, I forgot to tell you, those huge horses out front reminds me of the horses in front of P.F.Chang's restaurants. Nothing like eating fabulous Chinese food and looking up at a horse's rear end...oh, did I mention it is another awesome table setting? Is this going to enter me in the Novica giveaway?
ReplyDeleteWishing you well,
Nenette West

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteI'm back...I became lost over at Novica and I still didn't see everything.
1. I loved the stained glass cross, "Spirit of Faith"
$29.95
2. I fell in love with the teapot called "Lingering Turtle. It is so very adorable
$49.95
and
3. Ceramic teapot "lucky Koi"
54.99
It would be in honor of my husbands' 8 year koi fish named Patches that passed on this summer.
I was fascinated with the wristlet purse that was made out of the pop top of a coke can....just a really awesome place.
hugs
