First Christmas Tablescape of 2012

I know I am early but there are 2 reasons I am doing this. First is that last year, I did not put up any Christmas tablescapes nor decor because they were redoing our floors and 2 daughters were having babies in Florida so I was mostly out of town welcoming the grands and tending to them. I am making up for that or I can say that I am actually a year late, lol.

Secondly, I have too many Christmas dinnerware sets and I want to use them all.

And so without further ado, I am starting with my 12 days of Christmas salad plates from William Sonoma, except I only have a seating for 8 so only the first 8 days of Christmas plates are used here.

Also, please scroll down one post below to see my Christmas decorations. That was a lot of work! Whew!

The tablecloth is also 12 days of Christmas, also from WS. We bought these 2 years ago from Spanish Fort, on our way to Pensacola to visit John's dad, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 90 a few months ago.

"Believe" charger plates from TJ Maxx. I was selling these at my booth, which I have closed since, due to flooding
and I am so glad they did not sell. The champagne flutes are Mikasa's "Gemstone", wine glasses are Italian from HG (can't remember pattern name) and the glasses are Winterberry by Pfaltzgraff.
The flatware are German and the dinner plates are St. Helena from Z Gallerie.

The napkin rings were Ebay finds from a while back and the napkins were off season clearance from a local shop.
I used a bowl on a pedestal and filled it with mercury silver balls from Southern Living at Home. Then I took a square Winterberry tray and filled it with holly berries that I cut out from our bushes outside and surrounded the bowl with them.

I bought this set of hurricane candle holders which also matches the pedestaled bowl on the center of the table, from Fred's, the first Christmas after we moved in this town 5 years ago. This is the second time I am using them. I like the crackling of the glass and the subtle silver scrolly design. I surrounded their bases with a strings of bling.

I love how you can see the tree in the living room from here.

Thanks you so much for stopping by. I appreciate the hostesses very much also. Thanks for throwing these fun parties!

Christmas Decor, 2012

Whew! That was a lot of work but I am finally done decorating for Christmas, well not quite, but almost. Imagine putting away Thanksgiving decor and party stuff and taking down Christmas accessories from the attic and then decorating. My friend Noemie helped me which eased it up quite a bit. So many large bins!

Our carolers will greet you as soon as you enter in the foyer.

Those flowers on top of the pie table have been replaced for a more christmassy look. Look at the photo above.

Looking to the right is the living room and that is where I always set up the big tree. I had to move furniture around to accomodate the tree and the Christmas Village, which I decided to keep set up here. Last year, I had it in the family room on top of the tread mill.

This time, I used the boxes used to store the buildings to elevate the village. I thought that would make it easier to store them back after Christmas.

My friends with me are Brenda and Noemie. Believe it or not, we had another turkey dinner last night. They brought the food and I just prepared some desserts. After eating leftover turkey for 3 days, we had to eat fresh turkey again. I told them to better take all the leftover home cause I am not eating turkey leftover for another 3 days, lol.

Now we are going to the  family room.

A Thomas Kinkaid Nativity. I think it is called "Bethlehem" I love it when the lights are on. I forgot to turn on the switch for the picture.

My Lladro bells.

A smaller tree in the formal dining room. I mainly use pink, green and peacock accessories here. The ribbon is colored dark pink though it looks red here, and green.

My newest tree.  I bought this wire tree from Kirklands and I decided to hang kitchen accessories on it.
I think it's a very fun tree complete with little coke cans and bottle and some lollipops, cookware and kitchen gadgets.

Love the rolling pins and colander.

My Santa baker!

In the breakfast nook is the heavy wooden snowman I bought from Lynne about 3 years ago.

I finally got to decorate the mantel in the family room today.

I added ribbons to the 2 lamp posts in the living room.

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all of you especially the following hostesses whose parties I am linking with.

Grandkids in Blue and Brendan's Soccer Game

I just came back from visiting my daughter Tina and her family. The day I left, my grandson Brendan had their last soccer game of the season. After the game, they all got trophies. See that pretty blue color?

He was so excited! His team is wearing yellow.
I told you he was excited, lol!

I took a few pictures during the game. There he goes!
Yep, all the way! What a way to finish the season. He scored 2 goals.
While he played, his little brother was busy playing Angry Bird, lol.
And here is the baby sister Reese also wearing blue. How about that pretty blue sky?

After the game and the celebrations, we still had some time to kill before my flight, so we went to the mall. The girls (us) went to JC Penney's while the boys went to Bass Pro Shop. Scott called and told us they were taking pictures with Santa at the Bass Pro Shop and there was no line so we walked there to have the kids picture taken with him.

You can't imagine how many times I had to plead with Nathan to pose naturally, lol. He is such a character.
Modeling his orange shirt for me.
The place was decorated so beautifully.
And there they are! I was surprised that Reese went to Santa without any hesitation.
A pose with mommy.
What a doll! I sure miss them so much. I think Reese has my nose. I keep saying she looks like an Effanbee Patsy doll.
