Waited 9 Months and Myla Finally Arrived!

Myla Jolene, our youngest, grandchild (as of now) finally arrived at 8:08 in the morning of May 21, 2013!

Here we were waiting outside surgery as they prepped my daughter Rochelle for her C section. The doctor did not want to risk her getting into labor and having a normal delivery because she just had a c section last year when she had the twins.
My son in law, Derek, was all set too, just waiting with us.
Then, the time came. AJ's classmate was with us. Usually 2 people are allowed to watch through the glass so when the anaesthesiologist came to tell us they were ready, I asked if all 3 of us could go in because I did not want to leave one of the girls outside by herself. He went in to check and then came back and invited us all in.

Yes, we witnessed everything, from beginning till the end.

Mommy is getting anxious. She can't wait to get it all over with and finally meet the baby.
 Rochelle was getting emotional.
Mommy finally met her and had a first picture with the parents.

As soon as the nurse came out from the labor room with the baby and she had to pass by us, she asked AJ if she wants to hold her. But of course!

The baby was weighed and measured in the nursery, 8 lbs, 3 oz and 20.25 inches long.
 Moving to a room upstairs.
Time for a family picture! Cheeeeeese!

I just love how Halle stares at her.
The twins were just mesmerized by this moving doll.
Halle just kept staring and waving at her, it was so cute!

We all took our turns to hold her.

Welcome to our lives, sweet Myla. We love you very much already.

Our precious Myla at 1 day old.

I just added this, finally got her pic with eyes open.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. They really helped because both mom and baby are doing very well. I am just so relieved that everything went well.

Thanks for stopping by and joining us during this happy moment!

Missing Our Backyard

I have been in Florida awaiting delivery of another precious baby granddaughter. I will be here for a while and I knew I will miss our backyard as I always do, so I took pictures before I left.

We do have lots of sitting places, don't we?

I think these are plums. I wonder how big they are now.

I love this lantana topiary. I am still debating if I will plant it inground.

Kumquats

Confederate jasmines are blooming around the arbor.
Northern mockingbirds with feed on their mouths for the babies in the nest on the Carolina jessamines by our hose. John said the babies have flown away.

So nice to see the garden again even just in pictures. Thanks for viewing with me.
I thank and appreciate all the hostesses.

Florida Aquarium in Tampa

I am in Florida so I am with my 3 granddaughters here. In less than a week, they will be 4 girls because my daughter is delivering the 4th one and I can't wait to hold her. Please pray for Rochelle and the baby. It's hard to believe that the twins will soon be big sisters.

I took this picture right after they picked me up from the airport and then we went straight to a mall.

For Mother's Day, we all went to The Florida Aquarium. Mothers were admitted free.

This is what you see as you enter the building. The stingray tank is to the right of the escalators.

Lion fish
I love the color of this fish.

The twins were really enjoying looking around. Look at those faces. They were mesmerized by all the colors and various sizes of the fish.
AJ has grown so much. She is taller than me now.

Look at this school of fish!

Strange looking fish. I am not sure what it is.

This is Florida so of course, there has to be alligators.
This otter was really showing off.

We were allowed to touch the pretty colored starfish. They were huge!

Barracuda, shark, etc.

I had to take pictures of the ducks cause John loves them.
 Halle was really observing.

After we have seen all the exhibits inside, we went out and they had a water park there for the kids to enjoy.

The cutest and the youngest life guards ever!

We had so much fun. I hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day too. Thank you for stopping by. And thanks to the hostesses.
