Fifth Fall Tablescape, a Spooky (Not!) Raclette Dinner

Last time we had a raclette dinner, my son in law missed it cause it was a few weeks after Hurricane Irma and he was working double time to help restore electric power in the city. My grandkids wanted a repeat performance so their dad could experience a "fancy dinner" according to Reese, my 6 year old granddaughter, lol.
Since it is getting closer to Halloween, I decided to use my German ghost plates.
I knew the table will be crowded so I just used salad plates with no chargers nor dinner plates. I originally bought these plates when my classmates from College and I were to have a reunion at our house in Natchez, MS. We called our group "Spooks" in College and we still do, so these have a special meaning to me.
I used various stem glasses. I thought the kids would get a kick out of the spooky ones. I forgot to take a picture but I even used ghost and witch shaped ice, which the grandkids were excited about.

We had potatoes, fish, sausage, pickles, crackers, pearl onions and of course, raclette cheese.

I used a tarnished silver plated teapot for tea. I intentionally left it unpolished to have a scary look. I polished the tray though.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks to the hostesses of these fun parties.

Fourth Fall Tablescape, 2017, White Pumpkin Tureens

I cannot believe I am actually on my 4th Fall tablescape. The somewhat cooler weather here in FL inspired me to cook some soup for our family dinner tonight. I say somewhat, cause it's really not cool here, at least not according to most of your standard, but it's cooler than usual.
As most of you know, I alternate cooking dinner with my daughter, who lives next door with her family, and the other night when this was taken, was my turn to cook.

The adults sit on the table, at most times, though sometimes, the little girl likes to eat next to her daddy, that is why I have an extra chair there.

But this time, they all ate on the counter. I had places assigned for them using acorns for place card holders with their names.

I could not find 2 of the individual pumpkin soup servers. If you just know how my garage looks like, you would know why. It is taking me forever to organize. The soup tureen is displayed with my other tureen collection on top of the kitchen cabinets. I had to use a cane to bring it closer so I could reach it, even though I was already using a step ladder. DH asked if I had to use it and why not just use another one. Nope, I was really determined to use this one, lol.
I cooked Vietnamese pho and served some cilantro and bean sprouts on the side. How do you like my ghost sitting on a pumpkin S & P shaker?
I swear I have plain orange plates but still could not locate them so used this Polish pottery dinner plates instead.

Pumpkin S & P shakers and pumpkin napkin rings.

White acorn place card holders. I might have bought them from Williams Sonoma but I am not 100% sure.

I love the colors of this Polish pottery dinner plate.
It's bright here now cause the fallen tree caused by Hurricane Irma has been cut up and placed on the curbside. Unfortunately, the city has not picked up the pieces yet. They are estimating 30 to 90 days. They are still overwhelmed with all the fallen trees from the storm that hit us. Ugh!!

 Pho time!
 The kids' setting.
I just love these little individual soup servers. They are perfect for the kids because they do not hold as much.
I used different soup bowl chargers and the kids were fighting for the fox, lol.

What? They did not like the squirrel? I think he is cute too.
But the kids were right. This fox is the cutest!

I baked a flan cake for dessert.
Pulled out a Bavarian Tirschenreuth tea pot with orange on the pattern and some cups with orange on them, for those who want to drink tea.

Thank you so much for stopping by and thanks to the hostesses of these fun memes.

Third Fall Tablescape, 2017, Pumpkins and Fox

I cannot believe I was able to create another Fall table for this week. I have been so busy babysitting grandkids in Tampa because my daughters and their hubbies had to attend a fund raising event for Neuroblastoma cure. And then we attended the 6th Annual Fall Stampede the following day, which is another fund raising for childhood cancer, followed by a trip to a Family Fall Festival Beating Childhood Cancer. It's been a busy weekend indeed!

For this table, I used a lot of various pumpkins and squash for a centerpiece and placed them in a big rustic wooden bowl of which I added a deer antler, given to me by my son years ago, my son who is a hunter. I could not find my plain orange dinner plates so I just used some fall colored patterned ones. I know the plain ones are in the garage but I was too lazy to dig.

I made the settings for the heads of the table slightly different using yellow dinner plates and fox salad plates. I just really wanted to use these fox plates.

I used dark colored bamboo set of flatware. I have the lighter ones too but I think this set looks better for this tablescape.

I love this table runner.

For tea, I used this all white tea set with maple leaves. I bought them from Homegoods in Baton Rouge a few years ago,

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope it is cooler in your neck of the woods. We are not quite so lucky yet here in Florida.
Thank you to the hostesses hosting the parties this week
