I am happy to join Diane at http://diane1876.blogspot.com/ for 2nd Time Around Tuesday. You ought to visit her and her other participants and feast your eyes on many lovely second time around items.
Last Saturday, we attended an estate auction in Port Gibbons. I had my eyes on several antique furniture but everything went up so high and the only furniture we won are a pair of walnut pedestals. They have tobacco twist and griffins. I love that they look so unusual and I am loving the claw feet.
I thought they will look good with our lion throne chair.
and this is where they ended up.

We also won a few fine jewelry in addition to this pedestal pair but you probably wouldn't be interested in seeing them.
Thanks Diane for hosting this fun event and thank you all for visiting.
Lovely! What a great find. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeleteThe tables are a great addition, they go so well with the chair and show the Sevres (?) vases off perfectly.

Beautiful. Very different.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! Love the blue pieces in the room!
ReplyDeleteThey look great there. I'm guessing the little ones aren't allowed in this room unsupervised, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Christine! I love your new blog look too! Hope all is well your way!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I also love the claw feet. You don't very often find them with the glass balls still in great shape. I haven't been to an auction in a really long time, I am going to have to make it a point to find some near us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I knew you would do well at the auction!! And it was best you didn't pay more for something else because I really love the tables. How unusual and lovely!! I too, love the pedestal and claw feet and they look wonderful next to the Lion's Head chairs (which I have never seen in your home and wow!!). I can't believe all the beautiful antiques you have, Christine!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying London. I have to run out now, but I will be back to visit the posts I have missed. I was a bit under the weather and I am catching up!
