Saturday is always at least a double post for me. I post something pink for Pink Saturday, which is hosted by Beverly. Check out all the other pretty pinks at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/
See that pink butterfly wind chime hanging with my birds by the fountain? Read about it below.
Look what I won from Candy of http://rockcandy56.blogspot.com/ ! Most of them are pink so perfect to share them with you today. I just could not believe how much was in the box. I just kept pulling them out and then there were more. Very exciting! I got 2 Victoria magazines, a pillow sachet, some Victorian gift bags, ads and cards, a pair of gold tassels, a gorgeous black velvet hat, a pink butterfly wind chime, a lace and a pink embelishment, a tea sweetener, a note or photo holder and a pretty tin can and when I opened it, came out these very pretty ceramic figures with pink roses and a shell. I don't know if I missed anything but you can see for yourselves.
See where I placed the hat? It's on the chest by the window in the guest room.

The butterfly wind chime is in the back porch hanging near the fountain. The photo holder is near my photos on my desk wall unit. The tassels are already hanging on the knobs of the family room TV cabinet.
Thank you so much, Candy! I really love all of them and will treasure them. I plan to put the ceramic pieces in a cloche for Marty's spring cloche party.
When I started blogging, I commited myself into taking you all for a sightseeing tour and I have been true to my promise. It's been over a year now. Today, we will go back to New York.
Take a look at the skyline. That's what I call a real city!
Look at the pretty tulips in Manhattan. We took this trip last year and it was in the spring, I think, but it was already cold in NY.

It does not matter how many times we visit NY but we always stroll through Time Square.
and visit museums
And here is AJ who was asked to participate in the demo.
My HS classmate, Linda, was so kind to invite us to stay with her in Staten Island. I have not seen her since we graduated in HS in 1966. Oh boy! Am I really that old? LOL! I have already reserved a hotel in Manhattan and she asked me to cancel it and everyday, she would take us on the ferry boat to go to Manhattan for sightseeing. Thanks, Linda. We really appreciated your hospitality and everything you did for us. We will never forget it and we are still waiting for you to visit so we can return the favor.
Our Lady of Liberty who is always standing so proudly, can be seen while on the ferry.
Isn't the pink azalea topiary so pretty?
And you can't go to NY without visiting Central Park.
There were some foreign actors shooting for a movie while we were there.
Another classmate of ours, Gloria, who resides in New Jersey, met us in Manhattan. It was so nice to see her too after more than 40 years.
Sorry I mislabeled the mosaic. It should be "Classmates in High School and not in College".

One place Linda took us was China Town. We ate there and the food was so good, so authentic. Look at all the fresh fish!
