Angels and Birds at Play in the Garden

Today I am linking with Kathleen for White Wednesday at http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com.

I was so excited putting this tablescape together. Ever since I saw terrariums on blogs, I have been wanting to own one too so I have been searching everywhere. After a while, I finally found the one I like, which I saw on Ebay.

I created a tablescape around it for my contribution to Tablescape Thursday, a meme hosted by Susan of http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com
Tablescaping is a favorite toy to me. If you want to punish me, all you have to do is prohibit me from doing a tablescape and that would really be effective. It's like taking away a Nintendo game from a child, lol. I like angels and cherubs and I like birds. I have been working outside so adding that to my inspiration, I thought I would put all of them together in a garden setting.

Rear view

With some cherubs, daffodils, lavenders, moss and a candle in the terrarium, I got me a centerpiece.

Side view

Doesn't this cherub look so peaceful and relaxed reading a book in the garden?

I even used an all white tea set. Of course, you can tell they did not come in a set cause they don't match.

Angels are heavenly and stars are in the heavens so I used a stemware with stars and another one with etched flowers, after all we are also in the garden.

I love the scrolls on the terrarium.

You can't see the flatware handle details but they have birds and flowers. And of course, the white plates are bordered by flowers as you can see.

A pair of cherub candle holders and a pair of white bird candle holders.

This one's my favorite. It's a Lladro my sister gave me one Christmas. It is personally signed by one of the Lladro brothers. Most of you do not know that I had a baby who died when he was 8 days old. He had no chance of survival so he never even got to go home. My sister gave me this cherub to remind me that my son is an angel in heaven. We call him Baby Angelino. This piece is very precious to me.

I like creating tablescapes on this table with a garden setting because it is the closest table to the backyard and has a good view of the pool.

The candles glow when it gets darker.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my table as much as I enjoyed setting it up. Thank you all for coming by and thank you to our gracious hostesses for allowing me to play and participate.

I certainly hope no one ever tries to prevent you from doing a tablescape! What a loss to your devoted readers that would be!

Everything looks beautiful! I love all the shades of white and the way you've brought nature inside. I was moved by what you wrote about your son who is now an angel. What a fortunate angel he is to have such a sweet, talented mother!
