Playing Musical Tables

I have been moving furniture around, mostly tables. Oooh, my back is sore:-(
I am linking with Kim for her B & A Party at http://savvysouthernstyle.blogspot.com/
and Susan's Metamorphosis Monday at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

Most of you have seen this game table in the family room before.
I moved it to the breakfast room in the kitchen.

There it is!

But before I could do that, I had to move this kitchen table somewhere.

It went out on the back porch. I hope it does not get ruined out here. I plan to cover it when it gets cold. It does not really get that cold here.

But before I could do that, I had to move that table somewhere.

This table!

I moved it next to the kitchen window, right outside the sliding door. There was a cooler there which I moved to the garage since we won't be needing it until next spring or summer.

I did not move the bench outside with the kitchen table. Instead, I moved it next to the sliding door to hold some plants. We had a freeze a few nights ago and I brought the plants in. Now, the weather's been in the 60's and 70's but I think I will just keep the plants in because some of them are very heavy. Our house looks like a jungle now, lol.

And this parlor set took the place of the game table.

Lots of moving around but I am happy with the results. What do you all think?
We won this parlor set at an estate auction last Saturday. It's an 1860 Victorian rococo. I have always wanted a sitting area in front of this fireplace in the family room but I did not want anything heavy since we already have heavy leather furniture on the other side where the TV is.

Thank you all for coming and thanks to our gracious hostesses, Kim and Susan! You should go over there and check out the other transformations.

  4. Everything looks so pretty! My house use to look like a jungle every Winter, but a few years ago I started giving away and letting them go one by one. I just don't have the space where I am now. Please be careful with your back! :( It was this time last year that was the beginning of a problem with mine and ended up in physiotherapy for 2 months.
    Take care.

  8. I can't get over how sweet your parlor set is in front of the fireplace!! You have to love it. And the game table looks fabulous in the breakfast nook. What a great idea for the bench. We had to bring all of our plants at the lake in but as of yet I have not arranged them anywhere. They are huge palms and they can't go close to the walls and the heat vents. Not sure what I will do.

    Take care of your back!

    Xo,
    Jane

And I spotted that adorable, bright red drink crate...ooo, I do love it. Gotta find one!

Your comments are all over your page again. I have tried and tried to think what might cause this problem. Just can't imagine, tho.
