Only White and Silver Allowed Here!

It's here! Kathleen's White Christmas party. Come and join us at http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/. She is also giving a giveaway so make sure you visit her and sign up for it.

I am also linking with another Kathleen's White Wednesday at http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/

White must be all Kathleen's favorite color!

I am also joining Sherry for Share the Decor at http://nominimalisthere.blogspot.com/

and Susan's Tablescape Thursday at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

My color theme for today is white and silver.....in the formal dining room.

Below is the view looking into the foyer. You can see the living room with the Christmas tree from here too.

I am using a crocheted tablecloth I bought from Grand Cayman. This is the view from the foyer entry into the dining room.

Dinnerware is oval "Baroque" I got from Neiman Marcus. The flatware is silver plated also in "Baroque" pattern.

The larger stemware below is by Waterford, can't remember the pattern name but the smaller stems with white snowflakes are $1 each from the dollar store.

I used white reindeers as a centerpiece and I surrounded them with candles, a cloche with silver orbs and a silver bowl filled with snowflakes and white and silver mercury balls. This is the back view of the reindeers and this is looking into the kitchen.

and this is the front view.

A closer view of the cloche.

and a closer view of the mercury balls. They are very heavy and I did not want to hang them on the tree because they pull the branch down.

I filled the little silver jelly server with small silver balls.

I spread snowflakes with inspiring words on them: "Wish, Love, Dream"

John and I just bought the silver salt cellars and napkin rings a few days ago. We received an invitation to a Christmas open house at an antique shop downtown and food was served, so we went. Everything was discounted and the owner gave us a very good deal on these sets. There were 6 napkin rings (very heavy) and 6 salt cellars with 3 spoons. And they came in pretty leather boxes, old but still pretty.

I will end with this. Sorry, Kathleen but I just had to show this. It is not white but it's in the dining room and it's my peacock feather tree.

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks to the hostesses for these events. Now, I am off to check out their blogs. I hope you do too!
