I set this table even if the surrounding is a mess, lol. If you have visited lately, you would know that I am reorganizing the kitchen and my dishes.
Anyway, I decided to use red and black and white for this tablescape.

The dinnerware is made by Biltmore in the pattern Holland Platinum. I used Lace plate chargers.
I cut more holly berries from outside and stuck them in a black vase.

I was going to fill this ceramic basket with red wooden rose buds but I could not find them. I remember moving them from one cabinet to another but I have searched everywhere and still cannot find them. I bought them from Villeroy and Boch outlet store and they would have been really perfect here but, oh well, I'll just improvise.
Do you see the lace runner? It's really not a runner but that is what I intended of using it when I saw it. I have 2 of them. I bought them from one of the vendors in the store for $5 total. That would be my contribution for Thrifty Thursday. I think that is a real good price since they are pretty big and they are heavy lace. I can even make one of them into a blouse, lol.

I think that every single thing about this table is just lovely. I even like your "improvising" with the centerpiece when you couldn't find the bowl. It works! The lace runners were an unbelievable steal and pretty to boot.

It looks beautiful with the red tablecloth underneath it...really shows out the beautiful pattern! And...I like how you added that beautiful black and white runner as well...soo many pretty layers! Girlfriend, I am trying to remember but I don't think that I have ever seen your Biltmore china before! What a beautiful and elegant pattern...very regal looking! It certainly sets a fabulous table! Tre romantique!! I love the red black and lace, it is the ultimate in romance. Everything is gorgeous. Love the black flatware, I may have to get some of that too, yours looks like the same pattern as my red. I have black but it is very modern. The lace runner really highlights the romance and I love how the red peeks out the edge. What a pretty table Christine. You always have such lovely tables.
