If you recall, I rearranged the items on the bar a few weeks ago. Well, I wasn't too contented with it so I rearranged it again. This is how it looked like after my first rearranging. and this is "NOW".
John and I went to an estate sale in Baton Rouge a few weeks ago and I found this vintage electric shake maker. I think it was $7. I plugged and tested it there and it worked so I added it to the items that we bought.
I kept the turtle night light and the birds.

I bought this vintage looking "Corona" bottle opener from Urban Outfitters in Miami a long time ago.
I gathered all my bottle and stem glass markers and placed them on a small bird tray. My daughter gave me the Scrabble ones one past Christmas.
I keep my recipe books for cocktail drinks there. It makes it convenient when I need them for reference.
I moved my Russian czar and queen Vodka decanters back here from the bookshelves because the hall bookcase has to remain empty, since we are still working on the floor that was damaged from my mom's bathroom flood. It's been 2 months and we are still looking for a wood match. The guy we are working with said it is a very unique dark oak floor with very deep grooves and 3 sizes of planks, 3, 5 and 7 inches.
Yep, these blue decanters are still full of vodka. I wouldn't allow anybody to drink any of it. I brought them home from Russia and I had to pack them really well. I would have hand carried them but that was not be allowed due to security. Luckily they both got here in perfect
The milk glass hobnail lamp also came from the same Baton Rouge estate sale. I think we paid $20 for it. You must know by now that both John and I like antiques and vintage items.

ReplyDeleteI love those bottles from Russia! Really pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe have a gallon bottle of scotch on a stand we brought home from our honey moon 41 years ago. Unopened! Who drinks scotch anymore?
Wow, those blue decanters are pretty.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday to you, Christine.
Christine, you have so many beautiful and unique treasures. You've displayed them well. I still love that Quimper wine barrel. I'm so behind on news. I didn't know about the flood in your hallway. It is so hard to try to match something that was put in your house years ago. Hope you are able to find a match. laurie

Love the vodka figurine bottles from Russia and now your bar looks great! Love the turtle lamp. We kept our champagne bottle since we got married in Las Vegas 36 years ago, it was given to us by the people at "The Little White Chappel", lol! Hope you find the match of the wood floor sweetie. Love, FABBY
