My nephew, Jo and his wife, Lourdes, just celebrated their 25th/silver wedding anniversary at the end of June. All my siblings from different states and my mom attended so it was like a family reunion for us too. There were more then 300 guests. Jo and Lourdes own an advertising business in addition to a Dialysis clinic.
For their giveaway party favors, they had created wine glasses with an etching of their names and the event. Most guests took 1 each but me? I took 8, lol. They had left overs and took them home and since I stayed at their house while in California, I was able to take more and told them I would create a tablescape in their honor when I get home. And so, here it is! Happy Anniversary, Jonjet and Lourdes. Hope you have many, many more happy years together!
The colors they selected for the event were red and silver so I used mostly these colors.
Silver plated decanter and cups for toasting.
A silver plated covered server I picked up for $10 at an antique shop in Atlanta.
My dish layer consisted of sequined silver placemats for a formal look, silver fluted plate chargers, silver and white Paragon Heritage dinner and salad plates. I only had 5 of the Paragon Heritage dinner plates (still on a hunt to complete the set) but I had 8 salad plates so I alternated by using white dinner plates with a gold and platinum Greek key borders.
This red compote was already on the table and since it was red, I just left it there to serve as part of the centerpiece and I just added some pots with dried flowers.
In addition to the free etched wine glasses, I added some Waterford stemware.
Thanks, y'all for your stopping by. I hope Jo and Lourdes enjoyed my tablescape I created especially for them.
