Lady Bugs and Chickens

I am back home to Natchez but I left a table set in the breakfast nook in the FL home. I am still limited in tableware there but I can create a simple table. The black and white plates were left by the sellers. I brought the flatware from our MS home. I bought the tumblers from TJ Maxx in the Tampa Bay area and bought the goblets from the Dollar store.
 

I bought the vase with a flower from Ross and the chickens from OneKing'sLane (or is it Joss and Main?) The black iron candle holder and red candle were left by the sellers. The sellers also left this counter high dining set for us. All the linens were brought from our home in Natchez.
 This is my favorite place for drinking coffee and blogging during the day. At night I do my blogging in the bedroom because this is so visible from outside and it freaks me out thinking that someone is watching me, lol. The window has no curtains and I really do not want to cover it.
 I used 2 placemats with ladybugs as runners, also brought from Natchez home.

 I have been admiring those white wooden plate chargers for a long time but they were too pricey for me. Before I left for Florida, Pier 1 had them on sale so I bought them and had them delivered directly to FL, since I have enough white plate chargers here. This is also another reason I wanted to create a tablescape before I left, I wanted to use them.
 I did not have any napkins to match (I never thought I would ever say that, lol! Note to myself: Bring different colors of napkins next time I go to FL which is next month) so I folded matching placemats to use as napkins.
 I could have cut some fresh flowers from outside but I was leaving that morning so I thought the faux will work better.

 Strawberry S & P shakers brought from MS, originally bought from Ross.



 The cheap glasses even match.

    I love the red, black, and white in your tablescape, Christine. What unique chargers, too! As far as not having colorful napkins for your table-quite honestly, I often use paper ones! LOL
    Oh and I'm enamored with those lady bug s &p shakers! :-)

    This is such a cute tablescape, Christine! Colorful and fun! I'm sure you will have plenty of dishes in no time! lol! I like those white chargers, too. I'll have to check out our Pier 1.

    Christine - you are amazing. I think you could be in the middle of the desert and still manage to set a beautiful table. Wow - love all of the black and white and the lady bug runner is adorable. Those chargers are great and I can see why you would be itching to use them!

    First of all, I love the pretty spot where you did this great and charming table, Christine! The chargers are great with the back and white china aand red! The roosters and cute lady bugs give the table such joy and fun! I'm so busy with my G'girls, you can't imagine...but soo very happy!

    Christine, I am so glad you finally got your chargers!!! You will use them so often. The table looks wonderful. I love the roosters and the everylasting flower. As for the wonderful glasses, yes they are! they are perfect. What a lovely spot to start the day. xo marlis

    OK, I must of missed something. You purchased a home in Florida? How fun. Another home to fill with dishes!!!

    I can't tell you how much I love this table. I think it's the sharpness of the red and green. Funny, sometimes when we have less to work with we get more creative.

    OK...so you don't want to have to cover the glass up so that you can enjoy the view, but you're freaked out that someone may be watching you? Buy yourself a 12-gauge shotgun and "clean" it nightly in front of the window. I guarantee you that anyone tempted to watch you won't be watching for very long!!! :-) :-) :-)

    You did a really great job with this table, Christine! No one would ever know you weren't in your permanent home!!! It just looks like you were able to easily to to the pantry and find beautiful things to create! I love the layers! Those chargers really amp up the whole look, too. Very pretty look, Christine!!!

    What a cute table you will come back to...love the chickens. I looked for some of those Pier One charger/place mats, but they didn't have any at the store nearest me...guess now that I have decided to spend that kind of money on them they aren't stocking them!

    Christine, it sure doesn't show that you didn't have much with you for tablescaping. This is a delightful scape, and of course, the view adds to the dining experience. Love the green, red, and black combo. laurie

    I like this tablescape. Black white and red have always been staples in my wardrobe and find their way into my décor as well. Like you I had admired those chargers on everyone elses tablescapes but couldn't justify the cost. When they were on sale before Easter I decided tongp ahead and buy them. I still need 2more but I've already used the ones that I purchased.

    How will you ever keep track of what you have where? Before we moved to Southampton permanently, I ran 2 houses and could never remember what I had where!
