I just spent more than a month in Florida and just got this past Monday. Most of that was spent with my daughter who had a baby but the last week was spent in the Fort Myers area where our second home is.
I know I am in Fort Myers when I see streets lined with palm trees.
We went to the beach one day and the weather was so perfect, warm water, nice breeze and not too hot nor humid.
We like to park at Lani Kai Restaurant parking lot. We pay a fee of $7 but it is subtracted from our bill if we eat in the restaurant. It is convenient to park there because the walk to the beach is not too far, convenient especially when we are carrying lots of kids and things. Besides, big beach umbrellas are available for rent and someone goes around taking orders for drinks.
My companions: my daughter, Tina, my granddaughters AJ and baby Reese and grandsons, Brendan and Nathan.
Aaaah! Time to relax while the kids get ready to go to the water.
But the little ones have to eat their snacks first.
Brendan was so proud of his sand dollars.
I did soak my feet on the water too. I did not swim because I just shampooed my hair and did not want to wet it, lol.
I really like this beach, it's very clean.
The kids had so much fun too!
We ate lunch at Lani Kai Restaurant, on the roof top. Such a pretty view of the beach.
Their seats were gliders.
Thanks for stopping by. Now,, I am back to reality and more, a messy house and an overgrown garden, lol. But there is still no place like home.

Oh well, my friend, you look like you were having a great time with your grands and daughter, just like me! Can you imagine we would have met easily, if it wasn't because of the course my Sil and daughter had to attend, that's why we spent time at the pool. We took 1,000 pics, but can't be posting them all, lol! We will meet Chris, I will make a point next time! Hugs,

You must have had a wonderful time. Being in Florida all the time must be so great. I love Florida and I hope we will be able to get there later in the year for a short holiday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful babies and grandbabies Christine.
I love Fort Myers Beach ... I also fell in love with Venice Beach a few months ago ... isn't Florida wonderful? I miss living there during the winters. Heat and humidity the rest of the year wilts me.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty beach. Sounds and looks like you had a fun time with your family.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of all the beautiful colors on the buildings. The beach is so WHITE--what a wonderful trip.

ReplyDeleteWe've lived near Tampa for two years now, haven't been to Ft Meyer's beach yet. Now I must go and eat at the restaurants you mentioned! We did have a very nice spring, very low humidity! Loved the shadows!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful place. I've wondered what it would look like; I have family who lived there but I've never been to Florida.
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious day at the beach! Your babies are all beautiful. I'll bet that house and garden won't be messy and overgrown for long...once you get your energetic hands on them. Thanks for taking us to the beach. Cherry Kay
