I am home in Mississippi now but before I left, I set the Thanksgiving table for Rochelle and her family. They will just have a quiet family dinner because Rea is restricted to be near anyone who traveled by plane. They are just very fortunate and we are all very happy that Rea is home to celebrate this special holiday. We sure have a lot to be thankful for.
I gave Rochelle these Queen's turkey salad plates so I got to use them. I have the same set here at home.
Rochelle bought this material from Old World Pottery to recover the chair cushions messed up by the kids and there was a lot leftover so I made it into a table cloth. The colors are perfect for the season.
Pilgrims S & P shakers
Pilgrims used as centerpieces against a large tin pumpkin. They aren't allowed to have live plants or flowers to be near Rea because chemo and post transplant kids are sensitive to them and they might carry bacteria and we need to protect her from any kind of infection.
It is a pretty simple table but I am happy with it. I hope they enjoy it.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Thanks for all your visits and thanks to all the hostesses. Hope you all enjoy the holiday.

It may not be as grand as the ones you usually set up in your home, but it is equally beautiful in a more toned-down way! love it!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Christine...I love those turkey dishes! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeletePretty table! I gave those same turkey plates to my older daughter but didn't keep any for myself. Love them! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the colors you used! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pretty tablescape! I like that you made the gorgeous tablecloth! Great idea! It's hard finding something different from the usual tablecloths you see in the stores. I found a fabric shower curtain in my favorite colors that I'm thinking about making into a tablecloth. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am sure your daughter appreciates what you have done.
Wishing you and yours a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
Beautiful table, Christine. Love the tablecloth. So many of us have those same plates...this is the first year they haven't been used.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
This is a lovely table! Your family will enjoy a beautiful meal together as they count their blessings. Thanks for your visit and Happy Thanksgiving!

OK, so I have learned a lot today. I did not realize that live plants could cause harm to chemo patients. That really is a good piece of information to have.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you weren't able to spend Thanksgiving with Rea close at hand, but I totally understand the precautions that have to be taken right now. She's a real trooper, and so are you guys for being such a wonderful, loving support system for her.
The table looks lovely, and I'm totally impressed that you made that tablecloth! It looks great with the seat cushions!!!
Christine, you are such a wonderful, sweet and generous mother and grandma. I love the table and turkey dishes you gave Rochelle for Tksgiving and yes, there is so much to be thankful for, specially for little Rea.
ReplyDeleteLove the linens you used too.
