We are in Florida, just visiting children and grandkids and not moved in yet. With that said, I do not have enough tablescape stuff to use here, but we drove, so I brought some Irish table accessories to be able to set a table for St. Patrick. I also brought my favorite antique dinnerware set because I wanted to make sure they were already here safe and not risk breaking them during the big move. They happen to be mostly green so I thought of using them.
Antique Bavarian Tirschenreuth dinner plates. I love the elegant gold scrolls all around.
The flowers come in different patterns.
I love the shape of the salad plates. I bought them from an antique shop in downtown Natchez.
I have no napkin rings here ( I have a lot in our Cape Coral home but have not gone there yet) so I used some Leprechaun hats instead.
I have no plate chargers here either so I used my felt shamrock place mats.
I have a teapot with shamrocks but no teacups yet.
My granddaughter, Halle (one of the twins), kept wanting to help me set the table. Both her and Rea kept asking me what I was doing, lol.
And so, there is my simple St. Patrick table. Thank you all for stopping by and special thanks to the hostesses. I am happy to be able to join Kathleen's St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl for Let's Dish at
I am also joining other parties.

Your table is a perfect balance of elegance and fun...and you need that for those little darlings in your life! I think it was wise to bring the vintage dishes with you...wow, they are stunning.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering now that you have pared down so much in your Natchez home...how many sets of dishes will you be keeping? I know it would break my heart to give up one single set.
Sending much love and hope to be by more often. :)
