Cooler mornings inspired me to take my brown transferware out and use them. I took out a brown linen tablecloth and then looked around for what I can gather on the table.
The dinner plates are made by Johnson Bros' Historic America. I don't know why but I am always drawn to historical plates. I really like them, no matter what the pattern is.
The base are wooden plate chargers I bought from Walmart many years ago, followed with the historical dinner plates that we bought from an estate sale, I think in Brookhaven.
The dessert plates and soup bowls are Staffordshire W.H. Grindley's "Sunday Morning"
I thought the tablescape looks kinda manly so I decided to use vintage beer mugs. This is the first time I have ever used them.
John found these steins about 2 years ago in an estate sale in Natchez while I was in Florida helping out with my granddaughter, Rea, who was undergoing chemo treatments at the time. In case you are curious, Rea is doing very well. She has been on remission for 2 years now, very healthy and active. She and her twin sister Halle just started VPK. Thank you again to all who prayed for her.
John loves ducks and I love boxes so when I saw this, I had to buy it. Love that it is rustic too.
Transferware Cruet set
Bone flatware are from Neiman Marcus on line. I don't like using them too much because they are very heavy.
A touch of fall!
Tea time with matching cups and saucers.
Thank you all for you visits. I always appreciate them.
And thanks to the hostesses of these fun parties. Always appreciate you all too!

Thrilled that Rea is doing so much better. I thought of you all often while I was away from blogging. I think that your Johnson Brothers transferware might be Friendly Village. A gazillion different pieces and easy to acquire. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
