Dinner Cruise in Destin and Pool Update

Alas! There is a flurry of activity in our backyard so early in the morning. They are prepping the yard for the pouring of the cement. There are 9 people out there. I think I will finally see floor on the deck instead of dirt. Yipee! I am sooooo excited!
I just added this picture Tuesday evening. They are getting ready to pour the cement on the deck in the morning. The workers just left and this is how the pool looks like right now. More pool progression photos are at the bottom.

It's hump day and also Outdoor Wednesday! Yipee! We get to go outside with Susan of http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Let's all see everyone's outdoor pics by going through Susan's blog.

I am a little behind but that does not mean I can't show you more of our 4th of July holiday pictures. As you probably have read in my past blogs, we spent the weekend in Destin, FL.

Below is the 2 bedroom condo where we stayed at Sandestin. The first pic is the view from the master bedroom window and the other 2 are views from the balcony, which is the 3rd picture.

I have so many pictures I want to share with you so I thought of creating a mosaic. You can click on it to enlarge it since I know the individual pictures come out small. AJ, John and I went swimming on the beach. It was very crowded and we got to stay only for less than an hour because we had tickets for a dinner cruise. We went back to the condo to take a quick shower and get dressed and then went to Destin Marina. My daughter, Rochelle, son in law, Derek and of course granddaughter AJ joined me and John for a very nice dinner in a yacht. The food was very good, beef, chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies and we had cheesecake with banana slice and pecan praline topping. Yummy!
After dinner, we got to watch the fireworks right on the deck aboard the yacht.
And now, another update on the pool. The turbo slide, the one facing the right way, arrived.
They have to finish installing the plumbing for them to be able to place it. They are also finished with the brick coping around the pool.

I think they did a good job on the brick coping. I really like it. And there's AJ enjoying the pool. The deck should be poured tomorrow or Wed. I will be happy if it gets done this week.

Thank you so much for coming by, And thanks to Susan for taking the time to host another fun event.

  27. Morning Christine, thanks so much for stopping by my TT. I always love your visit. Just to let you know, the next Cloche Party is not until Sept. I don't have a date yet, but probably about the middle of Sept. That way we can do a fall theme. Seems most everyone voted to have the event seasonally, so I thought maybe fall, then Christmas, then winter. Maybe every 2 or 3 months. I've found several reasonable cloches online and the wire one I did today was from Ross. They are fun to work with. Have a super day. Hugs, Marty

  32. What a beautiful pool. And great family photos at Destin. We had family that lived in Niceville, so we would go to Destin throughout the years.

I'm behind in reading the blogs I follow, so now I am slowly catching up.

Thanks for commenting on mine again (no I dont speak Tagalog or my mom's dialect... I wish I did!)

How old are your children? and are they all living near you?
