Sunflowers, Bumble Bees, Bunnies and Dragonflies!

Boy! Have I been a blogging machine this week! I think I posted almost everyday. It is funny but I can accomplish more when I am busy. My mom is here with me now so it is more work for me and I have been gardening so my roller skates are kept on. The energizer bunny is constantly at work. For a relaxation, John and I have been watching "Dexter" up to 4 series every night. Can you believe that he bought all 4 seasons? We still have a lot to go.

Can you tell how happy I am to be outdoors? Here's another tablescape that I created during Marty's cloche party. I believe I have shown you a glimpse of it but you get to see the whole thing now. Tablescape Thursdays are weekly memes that are being hosted by Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ . Thanks, Susan! It gives us dishaholics a chance to play and use our various dishes. I hope you make it a point to visit her and the other participants. It's always fun to see how others set their tables.

You have seen my centerpiece during the cloche party, using my wired cloches, birds and bunnies.

I used green ruffly placemats, yellow dinner plates with embossed flowers on them and sunflower salad plates.

My son and DIL gave me the flatware set one Christmas.

Bought the bumble bee napkin rings from Sur La Table but they only had a few so I bought the metals ones with rhinestones above from a local store when I saw them.

S & P shakers are from Southern Living at Home. The terracota bunny planter is from the other vendor's booth at the antique store where my booth is. I tell ya, I am their best customer.

I found these iron dragonfly tea light candle holders also at one of the other vendor's booth. Soooo cute! That reminds me, I need to go there to check any new things that were brought in. I am having a shopping withdrawal.

Goblets with lemons from TJ Maxx and the painted flowered wine glasses from the other vendors.

I knew I would have a lot of use of these yellow dinner plates that I got from Ebay.

The sunflower salad plates are from TJ Maxx. Hubby showed them to me and I always buy what he shows me cause it already proves his approval:-)

Hope you enjoyed my springy or maybe even summery tablescape. Thanks to y'all who visits and especially those who comments too.

  1. Beautiful tablescape, Christine! Very summery. Be careful with watching Dexter. My husband and I caught up on 3 seasons, watching a new show every night. Dexter soon entered my dreams! But absolutely love the series.

  3. Very cute, Christine! I love how cheerful and sunny this tablescape is. And those cute, cute green placemats are so happy! Love your dishes, too, and all of the details. You did a super job. Makes me want to dine outside, too!

I haven't seen that series, but I will see if Mr. Magpie knows it. We've been watching old versions of "To Tell The Truth" and "What's My Line" on You-tube and laughing and laughing. I needed something to get my mind off things, and it has helped a lot. It's good to laugh! :-)

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  5. Very pretty, Christine! The ruffled place mats always catch my eye when you use them. The sunflowers plates are SO cute as are the napkin rings. Best to have the faux dragonflies and bees then the real thing!!

It looks so sunny and warm in your yard...I am envious. Today we were in the mid 40's and I drove with my windows down! lol! Can't wait for summer! :-)

  6. Christine, this is just the happiest table! We are still so ugly and dull here and to see your bright and sunny table just made me smile.

I love that hubby goes to TJMaxx with you - mine does too! Those green plates are just wonderful and I have several of the ruffled placemats - aren't they just the greatest. What fun cloche decorating and I adore your dragonfly candleholder. So cute. You just always have another amazing table. Have you done a post on where you keep it all! If so, I want to see it, let me know!

  14. Christine, I love this! My niece has that tablecloth, and I borrowed it once in the winter. I like it so much more with the springtime colors on it that you used. Everything is so festive that you make me want to set up an outside table. (Too bad it's raining here...again.)

Love those sunflower plates, but my very favorite parts are the other things scattered about the table like the cloches and those wonderful dragon fly votives.

I'm havng computer problems and it takes forever just to load a site. I'm so glad I stuck it out and came here.

  20. I am so behind in my reading. Enjoyed the banker's house tour. Love the Garden mosaic and how wonderful to have company. Hope your mom is doing well and glad she is back with you, I bet she loves staying at your home. Always love your decorations and that Bavarian Demitasse set is absolutely beautiful. The creek is awesome but I hear you on those snakes! Love the azaleas. We don't have any at this house. Maybe we need to get some! Love that bird nest. It amazes me how they make them.
Your yard is coming alive and it is so beautiful.

  24. Hi, Christine! I love, love, love the color!!! It is beautiful!!! Those sweet little dragonfly tealight holders are fabulous, and I love the ruffly placemats! They have a flirtiness about them that is irrisistible! Your son-in-law has good taste...the flatware is really pretty! I recently ordered a set of those bumblebee napkin rings with the rhinestones. I think they are so cool. They also had them in the dragonfly, but I'll have to wait a while on those. Your table is gorgeous, and I'm hungry. What time is dinner? :-) Have a great weekend!
