Triple, No, Actually Quad Miracles and Blessings!

I was out of town this weekend so I was not able to prepare a post for this special event of Miracle Makeover over at Beverly's Pink Saturday. I was so happy to get an email today saying Beverly has extended the linking until the 18th because I would really love to share the story of our little miracles. Please visit Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ and leave a comment because sponsors will donate $1 for every comment towards the next Miracle Makeover. You can watch the touching Miracle Makeover video there that Kelee of http://www.designgivesback.com/ just did for Charlie.

Here's my story. My daughter Rochelle has been wanting to have another baby for so long. If you have been following my blog, I am sure you would be familiar with my granddaughter, AJ, who is Rochelle's only daughter for NOW. AJ is almost 13 and Rochelle just could not understand why she could not get pregnant again. Finally after years of waiting, she went to see a specialist in FL who found a polyp right where babies are conceived which was naturally blocking the conception. I have a very good friend here who is married to a an excellent OB-Gyn so I offered the option for Rochelle to have it taken out here if she wants.

So last March, she flew in and had the surgery the following day. She really liked her doctor and the hospital staff at Natchez Community Hospital were all so nice to her. She said it felt like a vacation even when she was in the hospital.

Surgery was a success and after 6 days, she flew back home.

Every month thereafter, it seems like she was doing a pregnancy test almost every week and would be disappointed if the test turned out negative. LOL! She really wanted to have another baby so bad. Finally, in early May, I think, she took another pregnancy test and it turned out positive. Hallelujah! We were all rejoicing. They all came here for a visit in June and we took her to the clinic to get a sonogram. It was really too early and her obstetrician at home did not even want to do one knowing she will only be disappointed if she did not see a baby.

But, our joint convincing powers successfully worked on John and he had his ultrasound tech do one on her. We could not see any baby yet but we had a very pleasant surprise. We could see 2 cavities very clearly.

Another month passed and she saw her OB in FL. who ordered a sonogram on her this time. And do you see the little peanut sized babies? Yep, they are definitely twins!

She has been having numerous problems such as bleeding and extremely high pulse so she has been in and out of the hospital but the babies are always fine with good heartbeats and growing well. I have been so nervous everytime I hear my phone ring.

Yesterday, entering her 16th week of pregnancy, she had a 3 dimensional sono done on the babies. We found out that they are both girls and really healthy. They took a video too and gave her a DVD. She posted it on You Tube and the babies are very active. You can go to

if you want to see twin babies that tiny (4 months) moving inside the womb. One of the babies even kicks the other one in the head at one point, lol. It's really amazing to watch.

Anyway, God must be answering all our prayers because Rochelle has been feeling so well lately.

Do you see one baby's feet on the right and the other baby's head on the left?

Meet Baby A at 4 months in the womb.

And meet Baby B. I think she looks sleepy, doesn't she?

Wait a minute, my title says quad blessings and these babies are only 2.

I have 2 daughters, Rochelle and Tina. My daughter Tina has 2 boys. She has been having pain in the lower abdomen so she saw her OB/Gyn also. She finds out that she has fluid which might possibly prevent her from having another baby. She started crying because she definitely wanted more so she tried to get pregnant and she was successful right away. Having 2 boys already, we were hoping for a girl. And guess what! She is almost 5 months now and having a baby girl! Isn't that another blessing? So that is blessing #3.

We have one more blessing coming which is #4. My stepdaughter, Heather is also having a baby very soon and we are very excited about that too.

We are so thankful to God and so happy for the blessings He is bestowing upon us. By the beginning of Jan, we will have 4 more grandchildren and that will make a total of 10 and I hope the blessings will keep coming.

  25. OOO, Christiney...I am so excited for you , I could just spit. You are in for the ride of your life, girlfriend.
My son and daughter in law had twin girls almost 14 years ago. We were just beside ourselves with happiness. To make it all MORE wonderful, our daughter gave birth to her first daughter just 3 days after the twins were born. They have been like triplets all these years and brought all of us such joy that we can't even express.
I am so happy for you. Your daughters are so beautiful..and happpy...and healthy...and all that makes Christiney ON TOP OF THE WORLD.
