Fall Colors and Peacocks

We went to Pensacola last weekend to visit John's dad. I always enjoy going there because they have a HomeGoods store, not to mention the good restaurants around. So, of course, I try to make time to stop by Homegoods. I spotted these dishes with peacock design. I showed them to John, he liked them and agreed for us to buy them. He is so easy, lol! We both decided to get the soup bowls rather than the salad plates because we know we can use

the bowls to serve salad too and we can serve more in them.

Naturally, I had to do a tablescape with them before they are stored away.

I used a tray to put my centerpiece together.

I combined some faux orange flowers with freshly cut rosemary from the herb garden.

I also added this planter with ivy. After using it here, I plan to hang it on the brick somewhere in the back porch.

My sister just came back from a trip to the Philippines. When my cousin found out I like to do tablescaping (she saw my post on Facebook), she sent me this table topper through my sis. It is made out of natural fibers. She also sent me a tea box which I will share with you another time. I really like both of them. In fact, I am ordering some to sell in my booth and to give away for Christmas presents. I really like the texture.

Thanks, Irma. I love them both!

Isn't the little bird in a nest a little cutie?

I finally got to use these goblets, love the colors. They have a very faint green on top and orange on the stems. I almost forgot I have them.

For plate chargers, I used some autumn themed ones I bought from Walmart 2 years ago after the season was over. Do you see the maple leaves both on the charger and dinner plates?

My son and daughter in law gave me this set of flatware one past Christmas.

The peacock S & P shakers are from Horchow. The wheel barrow salt dish if from Pottery Barn.

I won the pewer peacock napkin rings a long time ago from Ebay.

Taking more pictures as the sun was going down.

And this is the view outside the window, a pretty sunset in the backyard.

Thanks for stopping by. I am linking as usual, with Susan for Tablescape Thursday at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

Thank you so much, Susan, for hosting another week and thanks y'all for coming by!

I visited one when I was up in the Temecula area but didn't find anything like the ones you seem to scoop each time you go...you must have the 'eye' for it. Is it time for fall already?
    Thanks for the reminder!

  24. What a fun table. Love the dishes. Your pool looks so inviting, I could jump right in!

You asked how printed my chair images I just framed. I found the images on the graphics fairy and when I printed them, I used old sheet music instead of regular printer paper.
