It's Thursday and we all know what that means.....Tablescape Thursday! I have not participated for the past 2 weeks and did I miss it! TT is sponsored by our most gracious hostess, Susan. Please visit her at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ and check out all the creative tablescapes circulating in Blogland.
It's my brother's turn to take care of my soon to be 91 year old mother so our table is back to a setting for 2. I decided to set the table that we normally use for playing Scrabble, in the family room.
How do you like my salt cellar with tiny pink roses in it? I placed it inside a bigger glass salt cellar to blend in with my plates. We won the dainty Meissen napkin holders from Ebay. DH was actually the one who found them and told me to bid on them. They weren't cheap and I am embarrassed to tell you how much we paid.
Flatware in cutout design, lacy white embroidered cloth placemats brought back from Grand Cayman, lacy white plate chargers from Horchow, waffle patterned depression glass plates and I thought I would use my Haviland Brown Rose salad plates and that completes the setting.
We must have been to Grand Cayman at least 6 times and everytime we go there, I always end up in a tablecloth store and never come out empty handed. I bought this tablecloth from our trip there last week.
A closer look! Isn't the cut work design pretty?
There is an antique store here that is moving to another location. They were packing when I stopped in 2 days ago. The owner told me that she can give me a good deal on anything I wanted. I saw this silver wine decanter set and was attracted to the medallion design. The set includes 6 cups but I took the 4 away since it's just me and dh now. The owner gave me a good deal as promised so it came home with me. I also bought the silver salt and pepper shakers you see above from the same store.

Oh, I think I have those same dinner plates in Emma's Garden. The flower border with a white center? Oh, we'll set some sweet tables, won't we?
Be a sweetie,

the table linens and I had no idea
that you could get linen in the
Grand Caymans, wow ! Your good deals at the antique shop are
gorgeous ! Thanks so much for sharing ! Hugs ~ Kammy
My....such a lovely setting. I adore your sweet salt cellars.
Hope you have had a beautiful day
Love the tablecoth cut work and the napkins. The wine decanter is wonderful as the salt cellars! The china is very lovely. I love the crystal plate. Such a romantic setting!
Hi Christine...Just had to stop back by and tell you...I got my receipt out and I did pay the same thing you mentioned for the Spode Garland china. I was off a $1 on each so the salads were $1.99 and the chargers were $2.99...unbelieveable! You can hardly buy paperplates for that! LOL BTW, a friend of mine went online and found them at Bed Bath and Beyond and the prices were realllllly high! So glad good ole Marshalls got them in. I stopped by a Marshalls and bought 3 more of each since the price was even lower than I'd remembered. I think I'll try to find 1 more set so I'll have an even 10. I always like having a little extra for breakage...'cause I'm a klutz! :-) Susan
