Since I posted the other pictures last night, I added a trellis by the air con. unit and planted a honeysuckle in front of it, hoping it will conceal the unit when it grows and spreads. I just wanted to show you.
I have been very busy these last few days but I am not done with my yard projects but I am linking with Met Mon, Blue Monday and Mosaic Monday and showing you what I have done so far.

Here is my contribution for Blue and Mosaic Monday. It's a blue Strawberry Pot that is made in Portugal. It's kinda tall and I found it at TJ Maxx for $14.00. I dug out the strawberry plants from our vegetable garden and planted them in the pot. They were just starting to come back. Do you see the blooms on top.
For Met Monday, I would like to show you our vegetable and herb garden corner. I forgot to take pictures of the before but these picture were taken before winter just before the basil froze. Of course all these plants were all dead before I started so you can just imagine how bad the area looked.
Here it is now. I planted some basil, dill, cilantro, parsley, tomatoes and hot peppers. The rosemarie, curry and chives are from last year. They survived the winter.
It looks a lot cleaner. These used to be raised but when they built the pool, they threw some of the soil that they dug out into here.

I have a little flower bed right next to it. Below was before the frost.
And this is now. The lilies and the red feathery flowers (don't know what they are called) did not make it but everything else that I planted last year grew and are blooming.
I have not really planted anything new but look how big the plants grew.
This morning when I woke up, I found our tall rose topiary on the ground with the pot broken. It rained and the wind must have toppled it over but I did not wake up cause I was so tired from cleaning the yard and planting yesterday. I have been working on our secret garden but that will be in another post because I am not done yet.

Your garden is lovely and I'm sure all the work will be worth it when you sit back to enjoy it!
Christine your yard looks wonderful. It will be so nice to just go outside and get your fresh herbs. Your flower garden has really gotten large quickly. I worked outside all day after church today and feel every aching muscle. It is fun, but the pain. Can't wait to see your secret garden.

What a lot of hard work! Congratulations on your lovely garden. Isn't it great to have one's own herbs. Where I'm living now I just have a balcony but to me it's my garden and it's full of flowering plants and delicious smelling herbs.
