These are flower boxes hanging from our fence by the driveway. They are my contribution for Mosaic Monday, which is hosted by Mary of http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/
I am bored in the hotel so I am going to blog. Luckily, I have a few pictures in my laptop that should qualify for Met. Monday, that is hosted by Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
and Sally's Blue Monday at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/
Those 2 lounge chairs are right outside our home office. I thought they were blocking my view a bit so I moved them slightly.
Actually, I pretty much just put them on an angle, really not that much change. And then I moved 2 planters with trellises behind them and here's how it looks now.
There's AJ when she was with us last month in a blue bathing suit. Another blue is the big pot
straight ahead with a blue cypress in it and a smaller blue pot next to it. And of course, the pool water is very blue.
Lastly, I want to show you this bird nest on one of our hanging plants on the gazebo. I thought I would take a picture of the eggs so I zoomed the camera and took a shot. I really could not see with my eyes because the nest is deep inside the plant and to my surprise when I took the memory stick into my computer to look at the pictures, I saw the mama bird with its wide eyes just watching. Doesn't she look mean? LOL! I think she is ready to attack to protect her babies. Do you know what kind she is?
A week later, I took more pictures. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos. Just like I said, I really could not see anything in there, it was too dark so I was just trying to take pictures while zooming blindly. Do you see at least 3 baby birds?

Hope you enjoyed my mini met for today. Thanks for coming and thanks to our hostesses. If you want to see better mosaics, blue items and transformations, go visit Mary, Sally and Susan and their participants.

Nice view from your office. Yes - Mom looks concerned! :D I took some pictures of a tiny bird today, but have not checked to see how they came out. It was moving about so fast.
Have a great week.
Your pool and garden's are so darn gorgeous Christine! I never tire of seeing the pics and I think re-arranging the chairs was a great idea, you definately get a better view of it. And the Mama bird does look like she is ready to protect her babies, I guess the Maternal instinct is very strong even in birds.
Have a great week,
Cindy
Of course you are out of town again. You are always travelling which of course is why your blog title is what it is. I am surprised that mean looking mama bird didn't attack you!!
I love this view Christine. I don't think I would ever get anything done in that office, except gaze out the window!
The flowers are so pretty and healthy looking in your mosaic Christine.
If I had a view like yours from my office, I would definitely not get much work done.
Thanks for sharing Mamma birdie and her chicks.
Christine, you have a lovely patio and gardens. Love the flowers. The bird does look mad. Most birds are protective around their nest.
The petunias are gorgeous, but your whole patio and garden are gorgeous! Lovely views all around.
I think the new spot for the lounges is perfect. Isn't it amazing what a difference such a small adjustment makes?
Oh Christine, your flowers are beautiful! And I think your pool and patio look like the perfect place to relax. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely pictures at MM. :)
Love the mosaic...so much wonderful layering to complement your beautiful flowers. Loved seeing the beautiful patio as well.
That's an awesome pic of the mama bird & you're right, she looks mean!
Just moving those chaises a bit made such a difference. When you look at "backs" of things, it's like a stop sign.. now it's so much more inviting. Beautiful pool area and yard. You do have a wonderful knack for decorating tastefully.
I'm jealous...the floor level office, looking out into a gorgeous yard/patio/pool area! Beautiful!
Beautiful view! You have a gorgeous yard!
Mama bird is so bold to protect her nest and you got a great photo of her. Plus your pool area looks so enticing.

Ouch...mama bird does look pretty mean! I do think changing the chairs just a little made a big difference to the look...you have a good eye.
