Can't Wait for Fall

I know it's early but it's terribly still hot and humid here in Florida. Maybe blogging with fall colored Polish pottery will make me feel cooler.  Wishful thinking?

Anyway, I pulled out my Polish pottery plates with orange in them, which I think make them somewhat fall-ish.
The orange flatware set was given to me one Christmas by my son and daughter in law. They're perfect for Fall.
I just cut some flowers from the garden, mostly santan flowers, also known as ixora and jungle flame, and some white pentas to put in my little ducky vase, for the centerpiece.

I even dugged out my PP pumpkins from the garage. Their faces are cut out on the other side.

Isn't this server/baker pretty? I love it! It's probably the most expensive single Polish pottery I bought, but I couldn't resist. I swore to myself after we moved to Florida and downsized, that I wouldn't buy anymore.  But, this pandemic is making me crazy and bored and it forces me to browse and watch live polish pottery shows. Their beauty is just so enticing and I really cannot blame myself cause I am but just human.
Besides, I don't go anywhere so I save a lot from not buying clothes, shoes and makeup, lol.
I've had these glasses with maple leaves from many years ago. They were only from the Dollar Store. I have Polish pottery stemware too but I thought of using these instead.

Now, you can see the faces on the PP pumpkins, standard peacock and mosquito (sometimes they call it nature) patterns.

I hope you enjoyed my Fall tablescape, it's more like a transition from summer. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your summer. I know it is starting to cool off in the northern regions. Enjoy it and please stay safe, everyone!

A Tablescape Using Polish Pottery Square Plates

I'm back again after such a long time. Anyway, I was inspired to do a tablescape using my square Polish pottery dinner and salad plates and I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

I have been so out of touch and I hope you are all safe from the covid 19 pandemic.

I thought I would use my various blue and white ceramic balls in a cloche, since they blend so well with the dishes, as part of the centerpiece.
I am only showing a close up of a few of the plates or I would have too many pictures. I don't really want to bore you, lol.

These stemware are Polish pottery too. I saw them in Seattle at the marketplace. Did I enjoy browsing at that PP store! Hubby just had a medical meeting there and we happen to stumble upon the store while exploring the city. I bought 9 (1 extra, in case I break one, according to John). I had them shipped to the house because I was afraid to break any during the flight.
I love the bubbles on the glass.

This napkin ring is Polish pottery also but the one below, which I bought from Budapest, Hungary is wood.

I just love this tray! I love the colors and the pattern.
 Lastly, let's have some tea!
Thank you so much for your visit. I hope I can get to visit you all too. Being home all the time should make that possible. Please you all stay safe!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day, 2020!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

We just arrived from a cruise to the UAE and one of our plane lay over was in Amsterdam. I just love all their tulips and blue and white dishes, which is what inspired me to do this tablescape, instead of creating an all red one.

I brought out my Meissen figures to use as part of the centerpiece. I think they look romantic. I am also using heart shaped Polish pottery for servers.
I made broken glass jello for dessert. I think the kids will enjoy it. I will also look for some chocolate covered strawberries to add,

I plan to cook holy yum chicken ( just saw the recipe from Pinterest) and pecan crusted salmon, salad and rice. We always eat rice with meals.

I hope you all enjoy your Valentine’s Day!

Happy Independence Day, 2019

Happy Independence Day!

First of all, I would like to thank our servicemen for all that they do for us and for our country and for keeping us safe. Thank you so much! You are all very much appreciated.

Now, let's go to the tablescape. I decided to use the plates that my sister Fe gave me many, many years ago. I spotted them in the garage and the bin was labeled, 4th of July, so it was easy for me to access them. Unfortunately, I am still not organized in the garage so it's not that easy for me to find the dinnerware that I want to use sometimes.

But, the bin where these were kept was just on the garage floor, waiting to be used.

I opted to use my bike napkin holders since they have the right colors: red, white and blue.

The S & P shakers are Polish pottery in peacock pattern.

America is truly the home of the brave. I really believe that!

So there it is! I pretty much just used what I have in the bin. I hope you like my patriotic table. It's been a while since I created a tablescape. I really should do more but I have been so busy gardening.

I hope you all have an enjoyable and safe holiday. Thank you for stopping by!
