Wordless Wednesday is hosted by Dixie at http://frenchlique.blogspot.com/. The theme for today is "dance". I hope you will join me in visiting Dixie's blogs and everyone on her list of participants and let's all enjoy their posts.
I know this is supposed to be wordless but can I give you an intro?
When my daughter Tina was 9 years old, she made it through the audition of over 2000 children to perform for the Superbowl XXV Half time show held in Tampa, FL. We went to the audition site at 5 PM and she did not get to dance for them until around 10 and then they told us to wait and finally at midnight they called her to take her measurements. We were so happy because to be measured for a costume, I guess meant that she made it. There were so many tearful kids and we felt so bad for them. Tina was one of the gold and white dancers and she was in a Hawaiian costume and she got to dance on stage with the New Kids on the Block. Whoohoo! Remember them? The show was produced by Disney and with so many kids, we were so amazed at how organized the rehearsals and the performance were. Disney sure is an expert when it comes to children.
The next pictures are of my granddaughter AJ on her dance recital. Ok, I'll shut up now. LOL!
Thank you Dixie, for giving us an opportunity to play wordless today.
It's Outdoor Wednesday too, hosted by Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Join me in visiting her outdoor site and everybody else's on the list.

Last year, we invited 5 kids (my granddaughter, 3 of her first cousins who brought along a friend) to spend 2 weeks of the summer with us. They sure kept us hopping! I was diappointed that we did not get any visit from the deer during their stay. AJ stayed for the whole month and the morning after her cousins left, I looked out and guess what! There were 5 deer in the backyard. I got AJ up so fast and we were crawling and hiding behind curtains so as not to scare the deer away. I was just happy that she got to see them.

Susan
Christine, they are loveliness personified... the dancers and the deer! I would be so happy to wake up and see those beauties in my yard. Just gorgeous!
Love to you and Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
XO,
Sheila :-)
How I loved the days when my daughter danced--it was such fun. Now, deer dancing in my yard is not always a welcome sight--especially if they are nibbling on young plants! They are beautiful animals, however!
Happy WW! Dana
I love the deer, they are so sweet and innocent looking
I always see evidence of where the deer have traveled through my yard, but I think they visit in the wee hours. I actually only laid eyes on a deer once, but they eat lots of my plants.
Wow, that's a pretty amazing accomplishment for your daughter to dance at the super bowl! Holy cow, that must have been so exciting for all of you!
And OMG, AJ is such a cute little princess. She looks a lot like you, I think.
I want deer in my yard! I've got woods behind me but have never had a deer come this close. I see them often on the golf course when I'm driving by, but dammit, I want them in my yard!
Justine :o )
I love watching deer. They are such beautiful creatures. Your yard is great, even without the deer.
I know you are so proud of your cute little performer. Thanks for sharing.
Loved the dancers and the deer! What a lovely spot you live in...
Happy O.W..

How amazing to see deer in your backyard! great photos.
What special pictures you have! I'm sure the memories will be Treasured of those performances! I still remember all of my dance routines from when I was little. I should have put up a few of them. It never even crossed my mind. The funny thing is I absolutely loved and breathed to dance and my daughter has no desire to dance.
I love your deer pictures! We have lots and lots of deer running around here. In the fall they put on a show. They look like they are running a race against each other. I call it Deer Olympics! hehehe
Happy Wordless Wednesday!
Angela
I love, love, love deer. I freak out (in a good way) anytime I see one. :)

Hi Christine...I'll tell you one thing...beauty runs deep in your family! You, your daughter & granddaughter...and if I remember right, your sweet little mama too..
Your outdoor photos are really a treat for us...love the wild deer. My friends have a little acreage & purchased 4 fallow deer to roam their property...very sweet, but they eat all of their plants & foliage... I love to visit your blog... ;-) Bo
your granddaughter is precious and i love the deer!
Hi Christine-
Your grand daughter is very pretty, a little ballerina indeed! And how cool you got to take a photo of the two deers...I don't get to see deers here in SoCal, so that's a treat for me!

Sweet dance pictures and beautiful deer!

We saw two deer yesterday. They were really skinny from the long, cold, snowy winter. Your deer are gorgeous!
Joyce
What a sweet group of performers.
Pretty in pink.
And yard full of deer...don't eat the daisys!
Happy Wed, Candy
The deer are beautiful, but they've got nothing on your precious grandaughter. She is adorable. And how neat that your daughter was able to dance for the Super Bowl halftime show. What an amazing experience for her. Great post. Kathy
We have a lot of deer in our yard. They are beautiful to look at, until they eat your flowers and run out in front of your car. Still, I always run to the camera to take their picture.
Hi Christine! Your little dancers are just precious! I remember dance recital days! And the deer are beautiful. We have them sometimes, too...last year a mom with two babies. So Sweet! ...hugs...Debbie
beautiful little dancer Christine... and those deer... isn't that really a dance too... at least when they all leap over the fence in unison... ;)

Oh the deer are gorgeous. And what a memory for your daughter ,my good ness.I am so proud for you.I thought when you were talking about getting the costume fitted she wasn't going to make it.I was heartbroken for her...Ann
I think that you must live in a wooded area to have such visitors. It would be so amazing to crouch down and watch deer in your own yard. How special. Your daughter was such a cutie in her dancing clothes!
Kathy b
great dance pictures! :)
Love the deer...very nice images. Excellent, rich color. Thanks for sharing.
Dancing and deer sort of go together. When you see a deer leap into the air, that is dance and it is beautiful. Your GD is beautiful and talented to be a lucky chosen one. smile.
Hugs...Jeanne
What a lucky granddaughther you have... She must have been on cloud nine.

You have "bragging rights" for Tina being onstage during the superbowl! I would love to see a picture of her costume! And little AJ is just precious~she is your little travelling companion, isn't she? So, so cute! :-)
The deer. Sigh... just so beautiful. I spot them up at the lake sometimes at night when they venture out of the woods to the road. I am amazed and in awe when I see pictures like yours, right from your kitchen window. What a blessing!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
xoxo
Janie
Dear Christine! How how marvelous for your daughter! I'm sure she'll never forget it. And your little granddaughter is just so sweet in her little outfits! You're truly blessed.
Oh, poor girls! They didn't get to see the deer! Isn't that the way it goes? Your surroundings is so beautiful! Again, Dear One, you are truly blessed!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Christine, AJ is just the most precious little girl. I just love her smile. She is so cute. I love to see the small ones and their recitals, they are always so much fun. When we lived in Oregon we had deer in the yard all the time. I just loved watching them. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs, Marty
Your dining room is breathtaking! Just a treat for the eye! Love the centerpiece.
