An Old Brass Box and Three Scarlett O'Hara Domed Dolls

It's Tuesday so it's Three or More Tuesday Time sponsored by Tam at http://gypsycorner.blogspot.com/. Please join me in visiting Tam and other 3 or More participants.
For today, I will share my 3 Scarlett O'Hara dolls. They are all enclosed in glass domes. I got them from Ebay about 2 years ago. Aside from what is written under each case, I don't know much about them except that I like them. Plus living in the south makes me want me to have a little touch of Gone with the Wind.
Scarlett's Bethrotal
Scarlett's Flirtations
Here's what written under the case
Scarlett's Deception

Thanks Tam, for making this event possible. I hope you enjoyed my Scarlett O'Hara dolls.

Being a Tuesday makes it a 2nd TimAround Tuesday also, which is sponsored by Diane at
http://diane1876.blogspot.com/. Please join me also in visiting her and the other 2nd Time Around participants.

Last Saturday, dh and I went antiquing dowtown. John likes to buy expensive stuff but I like to find bargains. I saw this for $9 and I added it to the stash of goodies that we bought. The cashier carefully wrapped them all and John looked at the receipt and paid. When we got to the car, he asked me what did I buy for $9 and I told him. He said he did not want to ask the cashier thinking she might have given us a discount on something, LOL!
I placed it on my side of the bed's table.
Do you like it there? I do!
Thanks again for visiting! Now, let's go see the rests. Thanks, Diane for this nice event.

I love the doll in her green "drapery" dress--that is one of my favorite scenes from the movie!

Hi CHristine,

Your Scarlett O'Hara dolls are beautiful~so detailed. I can see why you wanted them! One of these days I will give e~bay a shot (I keep saying that!).

I'm not sure what it is that you bought at the antique store. Diane has called it a trinket box. It is beautiful and looks precious on your nightstand. You wouldn't find room for it on my nightstand, it is stacked with book & magazines waiting to be read! ;-)

Have a great Tuesday!

Your dolls are so pretty and elegant. The trinket box! I used to have one just like it. I don't know what happened to it. I think my daughter may have it in her things. I used to keep hair barretts and the like in it.

Hi Christine...Those Scarlett dolls are so well done...they look just like Vivien Leigh...also, the green dress reminds me of the classic Carol Burnette TV spoof of her wearing the drapes with the rod still in them...Love the gorgeous trinket box also! ;-) Bo

I love your Scarlett O'Hara dolls! My husband and I just watched Gone With The Wind a few weeks ago!

The dress made from the curtains makes us laugh every time we think of Carol Burnett's Scarlett skit on her show years ago:) She wore the curtain rod, too!:)

Happy 3OMT!

What sweet Scarlett dolls ... the detail is very impressive.

The brass jewelry box brought back memories of one my aunt gave me on the occasion of my confirmation when I was in 9th grade. It was very similar; sadly I've lost track of it! I don't know what happened to it. Maybe someone will find it in an antiques shop someday!

I have the brass box. It dates to 1969 or 1970. I put all sorts of bracelets and earring into it and keep it on my dresser. The little flower piece feel off years ago and I never glued it back on. It looks so cute on your box that I think I will glue it back on. It was a gift from my boyfriend for Christmas when he was attending West Point. I think at the time those boxes were being sold for a pretty price so I think that $9 is a steal. Enjoy your little box.
