It's Deck the Hall Party time and I wanted to join so bad so even if I am not ready, I am posting a few pictures. We just arrived from a week's cruise and my Christmas ornaments are still in the attic. I am waiting for Mitch, our maintenance/electrician guy to come sometime this week to help me bring them down.
This treadmill has always been an eye sore to me.
Both John and I have been wanting a Christmas Village and we really have no room in the house to put it so I thought I would cover up the treadmill and put the village there. What you see here are all things I bought yesterday and today. I have some more stuff in the attic so I will add those later. The village still looks kinda empty but I like the lights.
I cut some hollies from our bushes outside and dressed the mantel in the family room.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure you go visit Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
and Marty at http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/
to see better Christmas decorations.

Now that is what I call creative Christine! It looks beautiful there. Just remember it is there and don't step on it out of habit.
Not MUCH??? OMG everything looks fab., but I have to say that I have NEVER seen such a beautiful ship as the Oasis of the Sea. OMG Christine. Your family pics are precious, and the skating rink, and the Central Park, and and and .... I need to see more. I've been to Cozumel, with Princess Cruise, nothing like yours... but that was over 19 yrs. ago.
Just wanted to by and say hi. I miss all my girls.

Hi Christine! You're absolutely the smartest one! Who would think of using your treadmill for the base of your little village. Genius! :)

How cute to cover up the treadmill! Your village is so pretty. I envy that pool outside even in the cold of December.
Have a lovely week!
Oh Christine, love your village. It is so pretty. Your mantel is stunning also. Such a pretty room, and the fireplace looks so warm and cozy. Hugs, Marty
Christine, you are so creative, and one would never know a treadmill is under the beautiful village.
I love your mantle and fireplace...so beautiful!
I love it Christine!:-)
Great idea! Pretty decorations.
Have a great week.
Love that you decorated the treadmill. That is so funny! Things are looking so festive.
I've heard of the treadmill being an accessory to the closet, but never for a christmas decor! Be sure it's unplugged. Your village is charming and your mantel is wonderful. I love your screen too. Merry Christmas.
I have a Christmas Village that I didn't put out this year because I don't have a good place to put it. Hopefully, next year! Can't wait to see once you get all your holiday decorating done.
What a great use for a treadmll...much better than using it as a coat rack! Your village is lovely, and you have it beautifully lighted. Thank you for sharing your charming designs and for stopping by my post. I'll go look at the salt cellars now. Cherry Kay
What a perfect place to put your village. I'm thinking of getting some Dept. 56 pieces, not that I need anything else! Hope you had a nice time on your cruise. The mantel looks great, as well. If I don't get back over to visit, I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
Well that is one way to dress up a treadmill! I had to show my husband just how creative we bloggers can be! He just shook his head and laughed! I've never had a village...they always look so pretty with the lights on.
Love the holly on the mantel! I have to get busy! Adore the village what a great idea for your eye sore! lol
You are much further along than I am! I had to just rest today, but I will get to it, I hope.
Yours looks beautiful!
What a great idea to cover the threadmill for a month. A month less training too, HURRAY!!! that isn't working for my fitness maniac §;-)
Anyways, I lover your mantel, its so cozy. Picking up you own hollies? That must be exotic.
Have a nice mid-week Ate Xine...
Hugs to all... Maligayang Pasko po! Akoy nama-masko! (pila whaling yan ha?)
