Our santan (aka: ixora coccinea) plants in the yard are in full bloom so I decided to cut some flowers to put in a blue and white vase to put on the dining room table.
I think they look so pretty against the dark furniture.
Since I am taking pictures in the dining room, I might as well show you around.
I moved my sterling silver tea and coffee set on the buffet, the pattern is Poole "Lancaster Rose". John's patient sold it to him when we first moved to Natchez. I know I have to polish it but I don't want to buy any more silver polisher cause I have some but they are still in MS.
On the left side of the buffet is my Lladro girl carrying a jar. She is too tall to go in our shelves where the other Lladro figures are right now, so she stays out in the open.
On the right side is a flatware rack inside a cloche. I also added various candle holders and a mercury silver based hurricane lamp on each side.
Inside the corner china cabinet, I displayed some antique Tirschenreuth plates (top shelf) and a souvenir plate and cup of Prince William and Princess Catherine's wedding. I like the initials on the cup (C & W) which are my initials and the date of April 29 written, which was their wedding day but also both mine and John's birthday.
The middle and bottom shelves display various Quimper plates, teapots and cups.
I bought this Quimper tea set from one of my visits here in Cape Coral, before we even moved here. So, it has traveled from here to Natchez and then back here again.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I always appreciate your visits and comments. I am finally slowing down opening boxes in the garage. I am almost done so I am ready for the next move, but our movers aren't, (my son and his friend) are still saving up vacations from work. But, there is no hurry since we have not sold our house in Natchez yet.

Love that you have santan!!! Wish we had some here, reminds me of home. Hope your hubby gets well soon dear!
Very delightful photos, and nice living space.
What a beautiful dining room. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The flowers do, indeed, look gorgeous with the dark furniture.
Your flowers really pop in the blue and white vase and the dark furniture is so rich. Love your silver tea and coffee service. You have many wonderful pieces of china, Christine. Thank you for inviting us into your dining room and joining me for tea.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your dining room and china are lovely! I especially like the blue and white candleholders with the teapot designs.
Beautiful dining room Christine! Everything is looking so much like you, specially in the lovely decorations and elegant vignettes.
I love dark furniture, or wood, because it's so rich and always so elegant.
Hugs,
FABBY
The pop of those flowers against the dark wood is fabulous! I love summer!
So pretty! I have a silver teaset as well...polishing has gone out of fashion...no one has the time! Your dining room is lovely! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

The flowers are gorgeous! What marvelous color! They do look great, as you say, against the dark wood table. And, by the way, your dining room furniture is beautiful! Then you showed us your Quimper pieces! Oh, my God! This is fabulous! What a great, great post. A treat for the eyes!
Looking all settled, Christine. Love seeing your Quimper on display. Love the centerpiece on your long dining table. Is that a new table for this home? I so want a long dining room table. ;-)
Oh, forgot to mention the clever idea for the silverware under the cloche. Is that a pipe rack?
Your brilliant red blooms so remind me of Florida. Have I told you I grew up in Ft. Myers? You certainly do have collections of beautiful pieces that are beautifully displayed.
Your dining room is beautiful Christine, and the blooms are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
