Fave Bavarian Tirschenreuth Dishes and Seattle Aquarium

It's Saturday and it's time to show off our favorites, show anything in pink, and go sightseeing at the same time. It will be another busy weekend, I can tell already.
I hope you are all keeping warm. I thought spring was here because we had 2 days in the 70's and sunny last week but it's been freezing again since Wednesday. I'll be in Florida soon so hopefully the cold weather does not follow me there.

Below are my favorite Bavarian Tirschenreuth dinner plates, salad plates and and tea set. I also have a set of cream soups. These all do not have the same pattern but I think they all blend together. I bought the square salad sets first (I think they might be octagonal) from an antique store and then I found the others on Ebay. They all have pink flowers even if the borders are green and gold. Right now, they are displayed in our corner china cabinet in the dining room and in the china cabinet in the family room.

Ok, now, let's go to the Seattle Aquarium. This will be the last series of my Seattle trip.

The organization who sponsored the medical meeting organized a dinner at the Seattle Aquarium one evening. This big aquarium is the first thing you see when you enter and this is the big hall where the food and cocktails were served, on several tables.

The food was very good. I wish I had taken a picture of each course but I was busy looking at the fish.

Isn't that an unusual long striped fish? I do not know what kind it is.

John was really enjoying the starfish and how they created their habitat with a waterfall and all.

This octopus was huge! Look at all the tentacles. It was really interesting to watch the movement of its arms.

This is as far as I would go scuba diving, lol.

Back to the starfish.

Looks like he is singing to them or conducting, lol.

I just love the colors. They seem to enjoy the flow and sound of the water.

They had a really nice display of jelly fish. The color of the lights kept changing.

And this is a familiar scene whenever we went back to the hotel. It's the convention center. It's my landmark whenever I have to get back to the hotel after my daily walk to downtown.

Thank you Beverly and Laurie, for hosting and thank y'all for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

It's all so beautiful Christine! I once tried to get pictures of the Denver Aquirium and it was impossible for me to get the colors to come out as vibrant in picture as they are in real life. You did so well capturing the coloring! I really enjoyed the pictures. As for the dishes. I LOVE the green dishes on the bottom!

Christine let me start by saying your Tirschenreuth china is gorgeous!! And the Seattle aquarium looks like the coolest place for dinner! I've been many times but never for dinner. HJohn does look like he's about to bbreak into song! And aren't the Chihuly glass pieces gorgeous? They look so much like sea fans! We also have a Chihuly glass museum. Maybe you can see it next time you visit *winks* Vanna

The aquarium photos remind me of a place where we had lunch, when we were in Nashville last Spring. I wonder how it is after the flood.

Love the china. Gorgeous!

Oh what a beautiful share today. I love your china. The patterns and colors are SO gorgeous. You always mix and match them beautifully. A treasure to see them together, or on your table settings. You always share the best.

Love this aquarium setting for your dinner. I know you and John had a wonderful time. Love all the fish, but the octopus and those star fish, how elegant. I bet it was very peaceful there. I am so tickled that you shared this wonderful trip with me today. I have enjoyed each post about it.

Many hugs and much love sweetie, Sherry

Those dishes are beautiful! Do you have to know how to spell them and pronounce them to own them??

Yes, John looks like he is singing , Under the Sea, or maybe Mack the Knife? :)
