It's a shame not to take advantage of this beautiful weather that we have been having, 70's and sunny. So, I text my friend Debjani, to come over for an afternoon tea.
I set the table in the gazebo. The grass is just starting to grow around it.
Some almond cluster chocolates, various cookies, mini egg salad sandwiches and green grapes, arranged in a green with gold swirls tiered tray, completed the table. The tray is from Home Goods in Pensacola. I think I bought it for $12.99.
I used my green and white Bavarian Tirschenreuth tea set from Ebay, in a green bejeweled square tray that I bought from Z Galerie in Tampa about 2 years ago.

Doesn't my guest look lovely and happy? The table topper is sheer so you can see the iron table peeking through.
We bought this wrought iron patio set from Jimmy Pippen's estate. He was the pioneer of the antiques shop row in downtown Natchez. Sad to say, at a young age of 55, he was found dead in his garden, shears still in his hand.
The cups and saucers are Noritake's Nippon Toki Hashi, another Ebay find. I had to outbid a lot of bidders on this set but I was determined to win. It came with a complete tea and dessert set for 6 but I only used the teacups and saucers this time. The napkins are colorful, to add some color on the table, shown here with a bunny napkin ring.
I think they were trying to get to the bird feeds that I have hanging around the gazebo but they were afraid to get too close to us. They should know by now that I would never hurt them. Why else would I feed them? And you know, those little creatures can really eat!
One moment please......a phone call!
And here's another view from the other side, the arbor. The jasmines survived the winter.
I added the small jasmine plant my hubby gave me as part of his Valentine presents. The blooms smell wonderful.
We had a very relaxing afternoon just talking while sipping tea and eating. Can you tell?
I really should do more of this because it is good for the mind and well being.

Looks and sounds like an enjoyable afternoon.
It got up to 74 the last I heard today, but it was a gray, dreary day.
Oh Christine, I have not seen your gorgeous gazebo for sometime. Looks like a gorgeous day out there for tea and treats. What pretty bird shots too. XO
Green girlfriend! I am GREEN!! 70 degree weather AND tea with a bestie?? Just not fair!! *winks* We have snow and the 20's. And yes Debjani looks like a very happy guest! Who wouldn't be?....Ok I'm at least getting myself some tea so I can join in a little bit lol! Vanna

Christine, such a pretty setting in your pretty gazebo. The weather has been wonderful here, too. 76 today, but change is coming the end of the week. Have a good one.
Christine, looks like a perfect afternoon to enjoy a cup of tea with a good friend. ~ Sarah

We saw a lot of April's things in HG Sat. marked down. You would have bought it!
How nice to be outside and have great weather to enjoy! Your new tea set is very pretty Christine! We had a nice weekend in Philly, not quite that warm yet though:@)
Oh, to have a tea outside must be wonderful! We are in the middle of another snow storm as I write this! I love your gazebo and the table looks very inviting. Wonderful treasures from eBay! I'm sure your friend and you enjoyed yourselves very much. Thank you for sharing with us.

Christine, just beautiful and the gazebo is so peaceful. I had coffee on my patio today and it was lovely too. Your tea set is gorgeous. ♥O
That tea set is beautiful. What a beautiful place to enjoy tea. The bunny napkin holder is cute too!
Meeting you has been a pleasure.
Thank you for your tea and your lovely images
Hugs
What a lovely way to spend the afternoon with a friend! Such a beautiful setting, and your table is so pretty. We've had beautiful weather here too, I hope spring is finally here! Sad to say our jasmine didn't make it. It's been thriving for 7 years, but the ice really damaged it. I'm hoping that it will come back if I cut it way back, there is nothing that smells better when it's in bloom. Hope you have a wonderful week Christine. Kat
Oh Christine...I wish I was there, in your beautiful garden, having tea in the pretty gazebo with all your lovelies, along with your friend...it's perfect! I love your tea set, the finials on them make it so elegant. I just joined this party too, hope you come over. So nice meeting you dear Christine, I love all you do.
XOXO

Christine:
It's so encouraging to see you having tea in your gazebo. Spring is a bit further away for us here in NY but it's great to know that some parts of this country are warming up. Love that bunny napkin ring.
