After a 4 day stay in New Orleans for John's meeting, we are finally home. While ma and AJ were still sleeping in, I decided to create a garden inspired breakfast table in the kitchen nook by the window.
I made some hard boiled eggs just so I can use the egg holders I bought at the Whittard of Chelsea Tea store in London. Ooops, the egg keeps leaning to one side. I probably need a bigger one.

The cups and saucers are part of my Tirschenreuth "Newport" Bavarian fine china set.
The plates and bowls are Royal Stafford's Hedgerow. I bought them from HomeGoods/Marshall's in Houston. They only had 8 dinner plates and 3 soup bowls so I am on a hunt to complete the set. Dinner plates were $3.99 each and the bowls were $2.99 each. For something made in England, I thought that was a fair price.
The placemats were from our church's rummage sale. We were late and everything was picked on but they reduced whatever was left to $1 so I got 8 of them for $1.
I bought the glasses from one of the other vendors in the store for $1 each. I really like them. They are thick and have grapes embossed on them.
I love the tiny spoons that came with the egg cups.
I am using my Spode "Emma's Garland" tea set. I think they go well with the plates.
The pewter flatware are from Ebay. They are vintage and I love the old look and I always like the patina of pewter,
I cut up some fresh flowers from the garden and stuck them in a Nippon vase, or is it a pitcher?

I love the roses and the ornate gilding on the vintage Nippon pitcher.
A perfect view while eating breakfast.
Just a simple breakfast, oatmeal and pancakes and a hard boiled egg, the latter of which is the only one I am allowed to eat, but I ate 2 spoonfulls of oatmeal. Cheater! Cheater! LOL!
