It's time to play on our tables again! Just like a little kid, I am excited!
I have had these little brown pottery plates (could they be salad or dessert?) and stemmed cups for a few months now. I bought them from an antiques ship in Roxie which was more like a junk shop really, but I like them. I kept them inside a cloche for a while until I decided to do a tablescape with them.
Using hobnail plate chargers, Pavillion by Princess House dinner plates, I layered the rustic smaller plates and cups on top.
I added small birdcages all around, which are actually place card holders. They are from Willow House.

Hi Christine! OH, another lovely table. Love your rusticness, beautiful dishes and accessories. I sure do enjoy seeing your beautiful home.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a pretty table setting. I love the birds and birdhouses. Those angel napkin rings are so pretty. Also love the pepper candles.
Your table is darling Christine. I love the birds. I have been MIA as I am still on vacation. Finally leaving for home tomorrow. Miss all my blogging friends.
The most colourful and gorgeous table I have ever seen! Everything looks so perfect here. Thanks for sharing:)
Hope to see you on my blog:)
Christine, I like natural elements on the table. The bone handled flatware is a favorite for me. I don't think of this as rustic, but rather warm and earthy.
Beautifully done!
Well, I learned something...I didn't know that Southern Living at Home is now known as Willow House...good tidbit to have. This a a wonderful 12 month tablescape. It will be lovely any time of year with the warm wood tones in your table and window panes. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
I love the browns and the woodland theme of this pretty table top. You have a flair for entertaining, and I love looking at your tables when you set them so prettily! I have not ordered anything from Willow House (yet), but I did enjoy ordering things from time to time from Southern Living at Home.
Christine, you have to be one of the most versatile tablescapers in Blogland. It helps that you have an enviable, probably inexhaustable, supply of dishes to choose from! ;)
I think people think it's strange when I say brown is my favorite color, but it IS. There's something so warm, rich, natural, and comforting about it. You have such a gift for combining the various elements to create a sophisticated, seamless whole.
Brava my friend!
Bill

Really beautiful Christine! And so reminiscent of fall! Which by the way has never left us here in Wash state. I read on MSN yesterday that here in Seattle we've had 78 minutes over the temp of 80 degrees...not days, not weeks... minutes! Lol! Vanna

This IS a very rustic, warm looking table & it seems masculine, too, which is why Bill probably is drawn to it. For Me...I am drawn to & love your Pavillion by Princess House dinner plates!! And the cute napkin rings & the bird houses were a darling little touch.
