This looks a lot simpler than my other tablescapes.
It was a perfect time to take photos because the sun was setting. Do you see it out there?
Isn't the sky beautiful?
I used a dish set by Villeroy and Boch called Twist Alea. I combined the dinner plate (Verde), salad plates (limone) and dessert plates (caro). My stepdaughter has this set, I think in limone for one of her wedding patterns and I want to eventually give this to her to add to her set, but I want to use them first. I got a really good deal on Ebay.
I really like the combination of colors and the pattern is very contemporary I think, so I used a flatware set with simple lines also.
The plate chargers are a really faint green translucent glass.
For a centerpiece, I just placed a peach on a tall stand, 2 tapered candles on crystal holders and a live olive plant in a ceramic lion pot.
Isn't the olive plant pretty? I bought it on line from Sur La Table on clearance for $14 and it was already in this pretty ceramic pot with lions. I did not know they sold live plants there. I wonder if I can plant it outside. Does anybody know if they grow in Mississippi?
The table topper is actually a bridge cover. I found it in an antique shop downtown and it included 3 matching napkins. I love the braided edging and the linen material.
Thank you so much for your visits and especially to you who takes the time to leave a comment. Special thanks to the following wonderful hostesses. I hope you all get to visit them too.

A very pretty table Christine! I love your topper and the soft colors:@)
Your tablescapes are always beautiful Christine.
Yes, the sky is pretty and so is your tablescape! Yellow is such a bright and pretty color. Hugs!
Sure was a gorgeous evening Christine. Loved your table as always. I love that pie safe too, I know I say that every time I see it LOL!
Christine your table scape is so pretty!
Love the tabletopper braded finish to it, along with the napkins and pretty yellow dishes. Simple, elegant and beautiful like always Christine! Such beautiful sky and you photographed it perfectly. Love the centerpiece. Lots of hugs. FABBY
Beautiful tablescape and the sunset was extra special.
So understated and elegant. I especially loved the way you honored that beautiful peach too.
The pretty sunset complimented your gorgeous table scape beautifully. You are such a generous stepmother! I love the pattern of the flatware with the china.
This is one of your prettiest tables, Christine, with the pretty dishes and the gorgeous sunset in the background! I REALLY love the plate chargers...I wish I could find something like them. Do you remember where you found them? The olive plant is too cute...I'll have to check Sur la Table for plants now!! Everything is beautiful!!
XO,
Janie
Christine, that is so pretty, especially with that view out your big window. Love the olive plant, and whether it lives or not, the pot is so pretty. That soft yellow topper and the napkins are so pretty. laurie
Love the view out your window and your tablescape.
This table setting was so lovely in all it's simplicity.
The linens are very pretty and really compliment the dishes.
What kind of meal are you going to prepare for this relaxing setting?
Thanks for coming to this Wednesday's Bunny Hop Party!

Your table setting and the evening both are beautiful, Christine. The sky and sunset really compliment you table.
Christine this is beautiful. The entire table and view through the window are wonderful!
I'm collecting a Spode pattern to give to my daughter-in-love...after I create a tablescape with it, too! LOL. She reads my blog, so I thought that would be a good way to let her know about it. The Villeroy & Boch pattern is perfect for your linen table topper...such an elegant piece. You may need to hide it when you give her the dishes! LOL. Cherry Kay
The table settings look great mom but where is all the food lol
That is so pretty Christine! I love the night pics you captured so perfectly!
I really do like simplicity and this table is so elegant too!
Hugs,
Cindy
That sky is beautiful! I like your bridge cloth and napkins. I like the mixture of the yellow and green in the dishes-very pretty.
Beautiful setting, Christine.
The V&B china is classic and the topper just right to go with it.
Noticed you got the "famous" blue light in some of the pix, very clever.
Lovely tablescapes! The setting sun is a wonderful backdrop.

very pretty tablescape and that too with sunset..
Those dishes are so pretty and I love the table cloth. What a pretty setting.
You did a fantastic job! I'm a big Villeroy and Boch and Sur La Table fan too. I'd love to find out if that olive plant will grow in our region. Please let me know if you find out. I love olive oils. I grew up in northern California and use to tour the olive vineyards. I'd love to grow my own olive tree. Again, your tablescape is beautiful.
Hugs,
Gigi
I love simple, and this is just beautiful!
Sweet and pretty table Christine! Love the evening sky too! The peach on the pedestal was very creative!!!
Beautiful, Christine. So clean and fresh looking. I love, love the plant in the center.
The sunset is breathtaking.

I really love your tabletopper Christine, along with the napkins, it looks like such fine linen, the kind that's so hard to iron like a Phillipino tablecloth and napkins I have and used Father's Day. Come over and see where I keep some of my stash, not much though! LOL! Have a great day! Love, FABBY
Christine, your table is simply beautiful!
So pretty! There's so much here I like where should I start. Of course, the outside view is fabulous but I love your dishes too! I really love the whole stack. What a great combination! Your tablecloth is beautiful I love the edge on it and finally I really like your centerpiece too. I have a small vase very similar that I am always stumped about what to put in it. I love the simplicity of that. Thanks for sharing this and for the inspiration too!
Simple but so stunning. Love the pix with the sunset.

What a view of the sunset out your window. Just lovely. Your tablescape is so pretty, I love all the colors. Linens and centerpiece are perfect. LOL

Your dishes, plant and table scape around so beautiful..... but your view out your window is my favorite...... your pool, yard and the sky.....WOW!!!
You captured the sunset perfectly, Christine! What a beautiful shot! Your table is so pretty, relaxing. I love the plates! The little color chips all around make me think of Spanish azulejos. So pretty! Also love your crystal candlesticks!!!!!!!!
You know that while this may seem simple to you, it is one of my favorite tablescapes of yours. I guess I tend to be a "less is more" person and I can really see the details in your china and the backdrop of the pool and sky are just perfect. Love the idea of the single peach. This is a beautiful china pattern...I really love it all.
I'm so late that I had to scroll down to find your tablescape this week.
I love this! It is definitely simpler than your usual style but every bit as stunning and elegant as usual. I love the simplcity of the peach in the centerpiece in particular.
It's nice to see this table setting and beautiful eveing sky again. I'm happy you brought it over for a visit!
I am so pleased that you linked to Potpourri Friday. Your participation certainly makes the party more successful . I appreciate you and hope you will make this one of your regular stops each week!
What a lovely table with a beautiful view.
Hugs,
Ellen
