It was so nice the last 3 days, temp was in the 70's and sunny, but I should have known that it would not last forever. Today I was awaken by lightning and thunder. It is so dark outside and it is supposed to go down to the 30's tonight. It is already starting to get cold so I decided to put some fire in the fireplace.
I always enjoy sipping tea when it is cold. I am indeed enjoying the coziness the fire brings.
I just got this from Annie's Tea Time. Lychees and mangoes are my most favorite fruits and how lucky to find out that they have a tea in this combined flavor! It is delicious and now my favorite among all the Whittard of Chelsea flavored teas.
I took out my Spode Christmas Tree for one but I did not use the cup under the pot. Instead I used another Spode teacup and saucer set.
John bought this tray with a winter scene and a bird when he went to Baton Rouge before going to the airport to pick me up after I flew from Florida. He really can read my mind because I already own a sugar and creamer set but I am still on a lookout for a teapot in the same pattern. Last weekend, I found some dessert plates and I bought 4. Eventually, I can complete the set, I hope! I really like that bird that is attached to the tray.
Thanks for stopping by. Wish you could really stop by and join me for tea. I will even bake some goodies if you do. Today I just had some candy coated fruits to eat with my tea.

So beautiful, so cozy and so inviting..therefore, I do wish I could have tea with you in that gorgeous room and by the warm fire..and needless to say in that pretty tea service. I can have the cup under the teapot than, lol..So cute of John to repeat what you already had; I wouldn't mind it either. Happy Holidays sweet friend.

Hi Christine,
that little tray with the bird decorated milk and sugar set is so sweet. And the Spode Christmas china looks beaitful to that. Nice to sit beside the fire and to have tea with you. Your room is so pretty decorated. Thank you for sharing your treasures. Have a wonderful Christmas time.
Best greetings, Johanna
Hello Christine, How cozy and welcoming! I LOVE the chickadee pieces...I have photos of them on my newest post too..haha! The framed picute above the fire is charming. Happy Advent~

A beautiful tea. I love your tea set.
So warm and welcoming!
A lovely setting for a Christmas tea by the fireside! Lovely! I love Spode's Christmas Tree pattern and the bird pattern is so cute!
Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Lovely tray. What a nice husband. I also love having the fire place burning while sipping tea. Except my palate is not as exotic as yours. Good old-fashioned Black Tea is perfect for me. However, that doesn't mean we couldn't enjoy a cup together. Enjoy the cold snap with your favorite flavors.
What a great place to sip tea! Love the painting above your fireplace. Your Spode is beautiful, and a classic for sure. I like the cream and sugar and plate with the birds and winter scenery as well. John knows you and your tastes very well, and is a considerate hubby!

What a beautiful home you have and decorated for Christmas so perfectly! Thank you for having tea today and sharing your lovely teaset!

Christine, your tea looks so cozy by the fire. What an interesting sounding tea you've shared with us. I saw that pretty bird platter at Homegoods. Ladies were oohing and ahhing over it. Your home looks so festive.
Spode is a favourite pattern of mine but I don't own any. I just love the look of it. The other tea set is sweet too. Your rooms looks cozy with the fire on. Merry Christmas to you!
Hi Christine,
What a cozy setting! The fire and the tea in front just invites one to settle in and sip a cup; lovely! I like your Spode pieces. The chickadee tray and sugar bowl are very cute and I hope you can find the teapot. Thanks for sharing and joining me for my Christmas tea. Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Christine
There's nothing cozier than tea by the fire. Your Spode china is pretty and I do like the bird tray. Someone else this week has the teapot and I will be on the lookout for it myself because of the chickadee on top.
Thanks for having us for tea.
Judith
Christine what a lovely setting for a delish cup of tea!
19 degrees here and, yes, I am sitting by the fire too but eating a bowl of ice cream!

Your Christmas tea looks so wonderful - beautifully comforting. We received those storms last evening and the temps are changing - I could tell all day a change was coming - having so many days in the 70's in December is something! I do appreciate you sharing your lovely tea at A Return to Loveliness,
Kathy
What a cute set up! It's so much fun to see everyone's special Christmas china. And love the Christmas stockings on the mantlepiece... makes it look so real!
I have quite a few teas from Whittard's but never have tried any of their powdered ones. Is this tea a powdered one? How do you like it?
Linking up and Merry Christmas!
Hi Christine,
Your Christmas tea setting in front of your fireplace looks fabulous! Beautiful spode china and the chicadee tray is adorable. Thanks for visiting and your lovely comment.
Have a wonderful day!
Lisa
I think it would be delightful to sit, chat, drink tea in front of your fireplace. Today would be a perfect one for that.
Christine, your fireside tea time looks so comforting. I'm sure you love this cheering up about your husband to pick up china for you! My husband has always loved the different patterns we have as much as I do except for the chintz china. I loved the winter pattern also but I had bought and used the fall leaves pattern for Thanksgiving! The cold weather is not welcome at my house after the warm days we have had so your pretty tray with the tea is a wonderful idea to keep the cold at bay!
Thanks, Pam
Everything is soooo pretty! I'm so glad we were on our cruise last week & missed the cold weather! It's storming here now though.
