A Beachy Tablescape on The Back Porch

I just refinished a dining table in the back porch. It used to be black and brown. The new color inspired me to do a beachy tablescape.

The handles of the flatware are genuine turquoise. I found them on Ebay years ago.

I love how the dining set turned out. I used AS's chalk paints "French linen" and "Robin Blue".
The placemats are some of the ones I bought from antique and yard sale shopping last weekend. I got 6 of these for $3.00 and I just love the design and the colors. I wanted the design to show more so I did not use any plate chargers.

The salmon colored dinner plates are from West Elm and the shells salad plates are from TJ Maxx. They are not new. I've had them for a while now.
I used 2 types of napkin rings and I bought them from Kohl's in FL.
on clearance last year.

The blue stems are from Pier 1, mermaid stemmed glasses from TJ Maxx and the etched wine glasses were from an estate sale locally.
The shell place card holders were from Williams Sonoma.

This coral candelabra is from Homegoods. I bought it last year when my daughter had a baby. I packed it in my hand carry but they took the luggage when we boarded a small plane and when I arrived home, this candle holder was crumbled into pieces. I had to glue it back together.

John found the lighthouse from Ross and said "for your tablescape", lol. I trained him really well.

The starfish salt and pepper shakers came from my sister who lives in Illinois. She feeds my tablescaping obsession too.

I thought I would show you how the dining set looked before I painted it. Sorry I could not find a picture of the table without a tablecloth but you get the idea, it's brown on top with black legs.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I published this prematurely and did not realize it until I got a comment, so now I am trying to finish it so I can post it before I go back to FL this weekend. My daughter is having another baby. Please pray for her and the baby. She just had the twins last year and she is having another C section. I really appreciate your prayers.

Oh goodness, I love this! You make me want to whip out some beach stuff and do a beachy table too. I love the place cards in the sea shells, and the colors on this one are fantastic.

I don't think I knew your daughter was ready to give birth again! My goodness...those children will be nice and close together in age! I most certainly wish her the best as she goes in for delivery!!!

You did a really good job of putting that candle holder back together after the airline smashed it to smithereens! Good for you!

Everything looks like you would just want to relax and enjoy without a care in the world! That's my kind of atmosphere!!! I absolutely love the turquoise handles on the flatware! What a great thing to have in your stash!!! I don't remember ever seeing any when I visited Mexico. I know I would have definitely wanted them!!!

Great, Christine!!! Careful in your travels to see your daughter, and I wish her the very best! Happy Mother's Day to you both!

Very pretty. I had hoped to do more in my courtyard this year, but Spring was late and unpredictable and I can't get motivated.
Prayers for your daughter and baby.

Christine, I tried to leave a long comment earlier, but my computer went offline, just as I hit "Publish Your Comment" - ugh! However, telling you how wonderful this table setting is, definitely, is worth starting over! I really like the way that you mixed the coral and blue shades. All of the decorations that you used are fabulous - I have total "table envy" on all of these great "beachy" items. This is one of my very favorite posts! P. S. The table looks great!

What a great setting Ate Xine! WoW! I could come closer to your talent.

Having a beachy theme, is far from my thoughts. Stockholm doesn't have beaches but we have thousands of archipelagos. Hmmm... you give me an idea, eh?

Talaga ka Ate? Kamot nalang ng ulo ang GH ko LoL* He murmured "I (he) in trouble, aray!".

Re: room & food? Salamat po. I will be so glad for that offer. I grab diretso. ha ha ha... just let me know when you are ready.

Have a wonderful w/end with Kuya John and Mother Dear.

GB you All,
/Chie & Lars
