New Fave Cabinet, Pink Zoe and Dream Tour

First and foremost, I would like to wish Beverly a Happy Anniversary for a very successful and fun meme, Pink Saturday. Beverly made every Saturday an exciting day for all of us. Thank you, Beverly! Go and personally give her your best wishes at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/.
Another weekend which means it is another triple fun.
A tour of a cruise ship, Carnival Dream, is where I am taking you today. Let's not even disembark. Let us just stay in the ship because there is lots to do here.

It's also time to show off at least one of our favorite items. And boy, do I have a lot of those! Laurie makes it possible for us to share at http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/
I got a new cabinet and it is my favorite right now. A friend told us that she and her hubby just came from an antique store downtown and they have everything at 70% off. She said they are still expensive even at 70% off because of being antiques.
When the weekend came, John and I decided to browse around. It was the third day of the sale so almost everything was marked "sold" or whatever was left was really ugly or badly damaged. But we walked around anyway and then I saw a beautiful cabinet that I like in the kitchen. I asked one of the people selling how much it is and he said it is not really included in the sale and that it is personally his. It is not an antique either. He said he lives in the apartment next door and he was just asked to help out. I asked if he wants to sell it and after figuring out some numbers, he came up with a figure that we agreed upon and so we bought it.
Isn't it just perfect for that wall? And you know I can always use more storage. I bought an antique cabinet once before for that wall but it was broken when it was delivered, so I returned it. Maybe I was making room for this one. God sure works in mysterious ways!
I will show more of it on my Tabletop and Tea Tuesday posts.
For my pink contribution, I am showing you our pink cheeked granddaughter, Zoe in her poncho with pink butterflies, pretty flared skirt with pink prints and pink shoes. This was taken while we were cruising on Carnival Dream. Isn't she just the cutest little thing?
The bottom picture of the mosaic shows pink faux bouganvilles also in that cruise ship. I had to look closely cause they looked so real.

Now, on to the tour! This is Carnival's newest ship, the Carnival Dream, but they are building another one, the Carnival Breeze, which is due to be released in 2012.

The first pic is the long hallway to our cabins. The others were taken inside our cabin. Do you see the animal shaped towel? Our room steward always creates and leaves one after he cleans the room while we are at dinner, a different animal for every night.
The bar in the lobby.
The glass elevators.
There is so much to do while on board. You can play pingpong too.

And you can feed yourself to death, lol. Below is a Mexican buffet, Indian buffet, sushi bar, luncheon on the deck. Pizza and Caesar salad bar is open 24 hrs.

The Dream, like most other cruise ships, has a huge water slide. I have never been to one. I can't even go on our little one at home, lol.

Decks

Theater Lots of entertainment both for kids and adults. There's Noah!

Ok now, this is really funny. John talked me into going to a dance class and to learn how to dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". AJ is crazy about Micheal Jackson and John wanted to impress her by showing her that we know the dance.
And so we did and all I did was laugh. LOL! It was the funniest thing!
The next day, we were all over the TV and the theater.
And the funny thing is that I cannot remember any of the steps except for the beginning.

I don't know why but we always take a picture on formal night and I don't know what to do with the pictures cause I have so many of them.
I hope you enjoyed the tour of the Dream. We like taking cruises because it is very relaxing for us. You should try it if you haven't. You get a lot of value for your money too.
Thanks to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday. Congratulations again on its anniversary.
Thanks to Laurie also for hosting A Few of My Favorite Things.
Thank you all for visiting.
Now let's all visit our hosts' sites and their participants.

Christine, I love that cabinet. Good choice. Zoe is adorable and oh how I love to cruise. We have been on four or five cruises. All were Carribean cruise line except one. Two of them we went on it was their first year. Love when the ship is new like that. Our favorite cruise has been Alaska.
