Triplets and Isaac

You are probably wondering what the connection is between the babies and Isaac. Actually, nothing, lol! I just wanted to give you an update on how much my grandbabies have grown. For those who do not follow my blog, the babies are not really triplets. I call them my triplets because they were born within 15 days of each other.  But the 2 are twins. The one in the center is my youngest daughter Tina's baby, Reese and the twins, Halle and Rea, are my other daughter Rochelle's twin babies.

I also want to show you what Hurricane Isaac did to our yard when he came for a visit a few days ago and how the yard looks after I cleaned up.

Here are the 3 babies when the twins were born.

Here are the triplets now. Reese (center) is 15 days older but she is smaller than the twins now. I know I am biased but aren't they just the cutest little girls? I miss them so much. I need to take a trip to Florida soon to visit them. Reese is a little over 8 months old now.

Ok, now let's go my backyard. There are a lot of these tree limbs and branches all over the yard. I don't know how much I already picked up but I am still picking them up.

The wind did not blow the benches over. John laid them back thinking they would be safer that way.

But this iron planter was blown over by the strong wind. We probably had wind gusts up to 65 MPH and it was scary because we could see the trees swinging since our house is full of windows that are overlooking the back yard. And we have so many big and tall trees. Thank heavens none of them got uprooted.
Two of the trellises fell back but the generator caught them.

Before the storm, we moved a lot of outdoor potted plants into the garage and inside the house. But we left the big ones out there. We thought because we could not lift them, they would be too heavy for the wind also. But we were wrong, look at this big pot that broke.
 and the table and chair.
I am not complaining. In fact, I am thankful that this is the extent of our damage.

We had to buy another big planter to repot the spiral evergreen and here it is now.

and the chairs and table are up.

My good friend, Brenda, gave me this big cup and saucer planter for my birthday, along with the beetle peeking in the background and some birds for hubby. (We share the same birthday, you know.)  Aren't they cute? I sure do enjoy the little things in life, and the big things too!

I brought these chairs inside and just moved the table to closer to a wall before the storm. Now, they're back outside and put together. I have been cleaning up for 2 days but I am not done yet. But that might be because I take too many breaks blogging, lol.

Although we had so much rain, we were never worried of flooding because our house is set really high. Do you see the roof of our side neighbor across the street down there?

My angel is back outside to watch over my plants again.

I think my peppers really enjoyed the rain cause now, they are even healthier.

The back porch is now free of leaves.
All these little furniture and table accessories were all brought inside the house before the storm. What a task to take them all out again. I still have a few outdoor tables in the garage. I am thinking of painting them first before I take them out.

And here's the deck looking relaxing again. It was a mess during the storm. The pool was full of leaves and branches. And so were the deck and porch too.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Isaac is really naughty, huh? We don't have too much typhoon in Sweden but when winter strikes, then we all have problems too, like you had.

Just enjoy cleaning, no whinning and next day, everything will OK:

Have a blessed week & hugs to everybody around you.

Your darling granddaughters are getting so big and cuter by the day! I know you must miss them between visits!

I'm happy to see that almost everything is cleaned up. Wow...that must have been a lot of work. We had two days of rain, I think that might have been a bit of leftover from Isaac. It;s good that you and John prepared for the storm.

Happy Labor Day!

Janie

Babies are so beautiful, they will love each other like true sisters. The storm damage sucks but your attitude and quick way to put it all back together, priceless!! Your yard looks great. I especially love the planter that says "enjoy the little things in life" and the little water fountains into the pool. great idea.

I hate the damage to your things in the yard but am soooo thankful no one was hurt or your house destroyed. So thankful.

I can't believe how much your "triplets" are growing. So pretty, too.
Did I ever tell you that I also have "triplets"? My daughter in law had twin girls and 3 days later, my daughter had her first girl. So, these 3 have always considered themselves triplets...they are all turning 15 in October......
