The Blending of Quimper Camaieu and MacKenzie Childs Dishes

I found this set of French Quimper Camaieu dinnerware set on Ebay last year and I thought they were unusual in color because most Quimpers I see are yellow and blue. And I like the fact that they were a complete setting for 8, complete with handled pretty soup bowls. So, I told DH to buy them for me as my Christmas present. I never got to use them until now.

I love the combination of green, pink and yellow. I think they are perfect spring and summer colors.
We do not have all our belongings moved yet but I loaded these in the SUV to make sure they get safely to their destination.

The green chargers are Mackenzie Childs and they are made out of very heavy tin.

Funny but I never used this silver plated flatware before. They just sat in our Natchez garage until now. And I like them. I think the floral pattern is very demure and pretty.

I alternated these champagne flutes with the clear flower etched crystals. These are actually faint yellow with a faint pink  and gold border.
The white vase with roses was left by the sellers after we bought this house. They were a pair and were sitting on the bedroom side tables that they also left.
Now comes some MacKenzie Childs pieces, floral egg S & P shakers.
I bought this pair of candle holders from an antique shop in downtown Natchez. I am not sure who the maker is but they have a mark of M381 underneath.

On the buffet is another MacKenzie Childs piece, a double decker teapot. I think it blends well with the color scheme I have going here. The cups and saucers are Quimpers belonging to the same set. I just added white flowered creamer and sugar servers since I have not opened all my tea sets yet and I could not find any with pink and green. The tall girl with a jar figure is a Lladro we bought from Grand Cayman. I also found a place for my flatware clotche on the other side of the buffet table.

I love the shape of this teapot.

And there it is, my tablescape showing a fusion of Quimper and MacKenzie Childs. Thank you so much for your visits. I always enjoy reading your comments too.

I also want to thank Parsimonious Décor Darling at http://fromparsimonioustoperfection.blogspot.com/ for nominating me for the Liebster Award. So nice to know many interesting facts about her.

Christine, your fusion of Quimper with McK-C sets a beautiful table. Great job! It's fun to see a set of Quimper that is floral and in a nontraditional color pattern. Beautiful!

It makes me so happy that you continue to do tablescapes. They are what attracted me to blogging years ago. It's not as easy to find beautiful tablescapes now. This one is gorgeous....very beautiful, and I'm so happy that I can still click on a picture and "arrow" through them with the "light box"....instead of having to click on each one to enjoy it in a larger size. Bless you for keeping that feature!

Tablescapes are such FUN!

That's a beautiful table you've set. Love the new dishes. Their coloring seems quite perfect for Florida! I didn't know Quimper made a pattern like that. Looks like your dining room is ready for family get togethers!

Hi, Christine...I was just wondering the other day if you had sold your other home. I see here that you still have it.
Your new dishes are just awesome...really pretty. When we moved last yr., I sold nearly all of my dishes...I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Not many noW...just my white ones and my blue and white transferware. I've never set formal tables like you...never had all those fine dishes. I love most MC and your teapot is just amazing. Living here in the Summer House, we are enjoying all the cute paper plates. :)
Have fun living in Fl.
