Casual Dining in the Kitchen Breakfast Nook

I know, I know, Christmas is over but I have been so busy that I never got to post this until now. I hope you don't mind. I am just relieved that I finally got to take down and put away all my Christmas décor.

Just like I said, it is a very casual simple table.

The plates came from Home Goods, I think in Baton Rouge or Jackson, I cannot remember anymore.
I love everything about them, the shape, the print, the postal mark and the colors.

My daughter, who lives next door, and I take turns in cooking dinner and this was just one of those days when it was my turn.
The 3 kids eat on the kitchen bar.

 I love the snowmen S & P shakers.

It is just an everyday casual dining and we just get our own drinks from the fridge, so no need for stemware here.

I hope you all had a nice holiday. We did too except that now, my 97 year old mom is sick and is in the hospital so we are flying to Chicago  to see her and help with her care.

Thank you for your visit and thanks to the hostesses of the following memes that I am linking with.

I LOVE your dinnerware!! Oh, how I would love to own this pattern and even though you said it's been a couple of years, I'll still be on the lookout for it. The little log cabin is adorable, too. I love the whole tablescape.
I hope your mom is feeling better very soon. Safe travels.

I am so sorry for your mother's illness, I will keep her in my prayers. The dishes are adorable, I would love those! What a blessing it is to have your daughter living right next door! My daughter and granddaughters are currently in Germany, and it is so difficult. Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing over at Celebrate Your Story!

So many wonderful finds come from Home Goods, and it's amazing how different the treasures at each store. Your dishes will work great through the winter. Hope your mother is doing as well as possible.

Christine, I LOVE those square Christmas plates. If I had more storage, I'd be looking for some of those. If I run across some at a good price, I may just buy them and find storage for them. Your table looks pretty.
