Patio Party and Tablescape Thursday

Barb of http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ had come up with an idea of having a Tuesday patio and porch party. Isn't that a great idea for this time of the year? We are all excited about the coming of spring so why not celebrate it by having a party in the porch? Let's all visit Barb's blog because I am sure she has something creative to share with us and then let's go visit every participant's patios.
Since I created a tablescape in the back porch, let me qualify this for Tablescape Thursday too, which is hosted by Susan of http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/. If you have been blogging, you know how talented Susan is in all aspects of the home so let's all go and check out her blog and then check out every participant's table setting also. I am sure we can get a lot of ideas from everybody.

Let's party!

Since this is more like a garden setting, I thought of using my Spode Emma's Garland plates and plate charger. I mixed the setting by using my Cameo Florals salad plates. I think they blend well with the spode dishes.
I bought the napkins from Crate and Barrel when we were in Chicago last week. I also bought the napkin rings from the same store. The quilted runner and placemats are from Marshall's.
This side of the back porch has entry into the kitchen and another into the family room.

Here is a close up. I love all the flowers. They are refreshing. I just love the smell of spring, don't you?
Doesn't my bird planter look happy? She looks like she is smiling. I guess she is also happy it is already spring.
I even managed to find a matching spode vase in the same pattern from Marshall's, which I filled with fresh flowers.
Our porch is L shaped and this is the other side, which has entry into the master bedroom and another entry into the home office.
After lunch, let's have tea by the fountain. The sliding door to the right is going into the family room.

I am really matchy-matchy today so I am using my Spode tea set with the same pattern, Emma's Garland.
I love those big tall trees except when the wind is really strong.
I used the Cameo Florals for the cup and saucer. That little table cloth was given to me as a gift in Rhodes, Greece, after buying a big tablecloth and lots of throw pillow covers. It has nice embroideries and gem stones on the border.
And there is the fountain that gives us a lot of relaxation and pleasure listening to the water flowing.
I hope you enjoyed the porch party. Thanks for joining me. Now, let's all join Barb and Susan also.
Thanks Barb and Susan, for being such gracious hostesses!

Christine, I love your porch/patio. It is so pretty and such a beautiful setting overlooking the back yard. Your fountain is gorgeous and I bet the sound of the water is so soothing. I love the sound of a waterfall. Both of your tablesettings are stunning. The floral design is so appropriate for the porch. It just brings all the colors of the flowers up onto it. Just lovely. Hugs, Marty

Me again. I've never done a screened in pool enclosure. Lot's of screened porches, however, both as part of a new house and as a remodel add on.

Christine,

This is just beautiful! So flowery and bright. I just love your patio with all of the plants and flowers. Today I am doing some cleanup on my wee little patio since it also smells so fresh and springlike here.

I love your dishes and adore the bird planter. That is truly my taste! The tea table is beautiful too and a nice idea since you don't have to clear the main table to have your tea and dessert.

I will have to join this Porch & Patio party as soon as my clean~up duty is finished!

Hi Christine !
I love your Spode - I have the same stuff ! I don't have the chargers or salad plates but I have 8 dinner plates in 2 different patterns, votive candle holders, the large vase (like yours) a large serving bowl and a large oval platter...I am still looking for the chargers, salad plates and bowls - LOL - guess I will have to go to Marshalls and TJ Maxx every week - the things I have to do for the love of dishes.
Anyway, love your setting and I can
hardly wait to use mine (oh , forgot I really love your teapot and sugar and creamer - I want those too ! ) Oh and I forgot I have 2 cups and saucers - they are really cute and would go great with the tea service...hmmmm...LOL.
Your porch turned out great ! You did a fabulous job, as always !
Hugs ~ Kammy
