Picture and Outdoor at My Daughter's Home

Hi everyone! I thought I wouldn't be able to blog at all this week cause I have been busy (still am) but I finished my biggest job for this week, which was to create the wedding party favors for my stepdaughter's wedding on Sunday. So, I thought I'll reward myself by playing for a while.
I am at my daughter's home in South FL right now visiting and bonding with my grandson, so I will show you what's on their living room's wall. What's on Your Wall Wed. is hosted by Barb at http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/. Please go and visit her blog and see what this southern creative and talented lady has to show us. And then visit everyone participating.
Back to my daughter and son in law's home wall is an oil painting I did for them in 2 days. Tina wanted to buy a Vettriano's "Singing Butler" print but she could not afford it because they had just purchased 2 houses at the time. Yep, they bought a house and then her husband was moved to a new job to another city so they had to buy another house again. Right now the other one is rented out so it's not too tough anymore. Anyway, I told her to print the picture and I will copy it. One weekend, I drove to their house with my easel, paints and brushes and painted it. She likes it without a frame.

Thanks Barb, for sponsoring this meme.

It's also Outdoor Wed., which is hosted by Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Again, I would urge you to visit her blog and check out everyone's great outdoor posts.
I have been watching my grandson since Sunday and today, he asked me to take him outside so we went to their backyard. I placed him on this swing but he did not stay there long.
He wanted to try all three swings. LOL!

He had a lot of fun and I had a lot of fun watching him play.

Thanks, Susan, for taking your time in hosting Outdoor Wednesday!

And thank you all for visiting! Sorry if I haven't been by for a visit on your blogs. I'll catch up when I get back home next week.

First let me say you have a great talent. The painting is lovely.

Secondly I will point out that I am not usually enamored with kids, love my own and blah, blah, blah but when I saw your grandsons smile for Grandma face it made me smile too. How cute is he.

He's sure a handsome little fellow! I'm finding that the boys keep an Auntie hopping more than the little girls, at least this seems to be the case with my nephew!

Christine,

It sounds like you are having a great time in Florida, especially with your precious little grandson. He sure enjoys that backyard!

I love the oil you did of the Vetriano print. You are a talented artist and that IS a skill...if you remember our conversation at the bar in Chicago. I have the same print hanging in my family room, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that someone else I sort of know (your daughter!!) likes his work. I had a calendar of his a few years ago and his work seems to tell some sort of stories between men & women. As much as I love his art, it does not "go" with my style of decor and I was thinking of taking the picture down. If you or anyone is interested in it, let me know~it would simply be a gift.

Hope you have a safe trip to your home in Florida. Post some pictures of this house if you have a chance~I'd love to see it!

xoxo

P.S. I loved posting the pic of us today because it reminded me of such a fun night we had. We will have more certainly!! ;-D

CHristine! I am AMAZED that you did that paitning! WOW! Great job!

And such cute pics of the kids, too.

This was a double bonus in this post. I didn't know you were that talented as an actual artist! I know you set beautiful tables, but that is amazing!

XO,

Sheila :-)
