I am away but I do not want to miss Tablescape Thursday so here I am posting in advance. and since I am showing you what we ate, I am linking with Foodie Friday too.
Tablescape is hosted by Susan and Foodie Friday is hosted by Michael. Make sure you visit them at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ and http://designsbygollum.blogspot.com/ respectively. I can guarantee that you will enjoy their posts and those of their participants.
Now, this is what I call simple. I changed my tablecoth to make it look bright and springy. Actually I just put it on cause I usually don't even put a tablecloth on this table. It's where we eat dinner everyday unless we have company. I used Polish pottery and the rooster yellow chargers that I just got from Ebay while in Florida.
I grabbed this Polish pottery duck from the hutch and moved it

That doesn't look like a "simple" tablescape to me! Your dishes are lovely and I especially love the yellow chargers with the blue and white. Your food makes my mouth water - would love some of that roasted asparagus!

Hi Christine,
It's fun to see your Polish pottery again. Your tablecloth is so pretty, soft and vintage-looking. The salad looks delicious. I'm going to see if I can find the recipe online. Hope you're having a good trip and finding LOTS to buy on eBay while you're traveling! ;)
Have a great weekend!
Warmest regards,
Bill
Hi Christine,
I have to say, before I forget, that the tablecloth is gorgeous. Then, I'm thinking that I must be ignorant b/c to me, that Polish pottery looks very similar to the French pottery. But, I think the best thing on the table is the gorgeous blue basket. WHAT A DEAL!!! And it looks so good w/ the pool lit up in the background!
I loved coming back and looking at both of your settings! I got to get out and do some shopping at Cracker Barrel lol I hit two! I still need another tea set, but Meridian is the closest one, and Terry not willing lol. I so wanted the tipping Tea Pot for my Birthday, but decided to buy dishes instead. I'll buy it later. lol We need to knick name the the World traveler! Hope you had lots of fun! I love seeing the Treasures you bring home! I went on Ebay, no luck on a Lazy Susan, well not as pretty as yours! lol
Christine, I love your blue pottery- you always have the loveliest dinnerware. This may be a casual table setting, but it is so elegant. I think I better check out the recipe in my SL magazine- how did I miss it? Yum...
:-) Sue

Lovely decor! I love lladros...sad to think that my lladro lady that I have has been missing from our move here to Georgia... I hope that whoever has it is enjoying it.
And Christine, your tablescapes are always so lovely (the food looks delicious!). I am partial to polish pottery! :o) I have never seen the polish pottery goblets before! Where did you get them?) I guess I will be google searching those! I hope that I can find some.
