Things Under Domes

The long awaited cloche party of Marty is here. I had such a good time finding stuff around the house to put inside these mostly glass domes. I didn't realize I had too much so I did not really use them all but I hope you enjoy the ones that I decorated. Go see some fun and creative cloches at http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/

After searching, I thought I found some beauties to capture so I am also linking with Claudia for Finding Beauty at http://www.dipityroad.com/

The very first thing I created is this pastry dome. I have had some mini teapots just hiding in my drawer so I displayed them. The dome is now sitting on top of my newly switched cabinet in the breakfast nook. For an added touch, I added the little porcelain roses that I won a while back from Candy of http://rockcandy56.blogspot.com/ Thanks, Candy, I love it!

I have had this terrarium and I just left it as is.

I opened a kitchen cabinet to get a dessert plate and then I saw this butter dish. A light bulb turned on in my head. I took it out and placed it on my plate. The Pillsbury Sweet Moments molten lava brownie fits right in. There's my simple breakfast! Mmmm, yummy!

Most of you have seen this but I'll show it again..... my flatware display dome.

In the family room, I saw a surgeon figurine. I knew I had a rubber microscope that I picked up from one of the medical conventions somewhere so I took that, got a few bandaids, some pills and put them all together for my medical dome.

I have 2 smaller cloches and I am having a hard time finding anything to fit in them. But when I was dusting the wall shelves in the bar, I saw some little bottles of liquor. Aaah, another idea! So here they are put together with some wooden Russian shot glasses.

It looks so nice outside so let's step out for a while. I really did not do anything to this garden terrarium, I just took a picture. But I have a plant in it just soaking in water. I used to have a potted plant in there but I got tired of opening it to water the plant, so I just placed a plant that thrives in water alone. You probably do not see it but there is also a little green bird in there.

I had an aqua bunny inside this wire cloche but for a change in look, I took the wooden ducks from one of the patio tables and placed it in with some red faux flowers. The bigger duck wouldn't fit so it is just sitting outside probably trying to figure out a way to set his brother free, lol.

Now, let's go back inside the house and into the home office. I took this Lladro Polynesian girl and a little jug with flowers. I think they look good together, don't they? I had the hardest time taking these pictures. They were either too dark without the flash or flashing right on her face. These are the best I could come up with. John bought this beauty from Grand Cayman.

Amd I have this tiny cloche. The dome is less than 4 inches tall. I could fit one of John's egg collections in it. It's a hand painted egg that I bought for him from Estonia.

There it is in the midst of other eggs

This one's in the bedroom. I am using it as a night light. It is a natural amethyst gem stone.

I created a Parisian one for the kids' French bedroom. And what could be more French than the Eiffel Tower?

Again, I left these as they are. They are on the guest bathroom counter. I love the shell handles of the apothecary jars.

Last but not least. I just want to show you my 2 bird cages on the front porch. I placed some ivy, hydrangeas and candles in them.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little displays. They are pretty simple I think. I had to create them in a hurry cause I have to pack for another trip and I have to finish this post in advance.

Thank you very much, Marty and Claudia for hosting. And I thank you all for visiting and commenting. You all have a nice weekend!

I am bedazzled! As someone new to cloches, I had no idea such a variety of things could be done with them. I spent a long time perusing each one. They're all spectacular..but my quirky nature definitely likes the surgeon best. That is just priceless!

Thanks for a wonderful tour...
