White and Oval Baroque

Now that Independence Day is over, I eliminated blue and red from my tablescape, leaving the white.
My inspiration are the oval Baroque plates that I bought from Neiman Marcus (or is it Horchow?). I am very fond of oval dishes but they are mostly just available in servng pieces so when I saw a whole dinnerware set in oval, I had to have them.

For a centerpiece, I used my wire basket, took my oval Dresden compote with cherubs and placed some white flowers in it.
I took some various white pierced candle holders and added them on the table including an egg shaped one.
I used white pearls for napkin rings. The napkins are embroidered linens. I also used my Bernardaud Limoges tea light candle holders. I got them from Ebay.

The 2 cherubs and the basket that they are in were a gift from Lady Katherine of http://ladykatherineteaparlor.blogspot.com/ during our Magnolia Southern Belles get together. Thanks, Lady Katherine, I love them!

The vase holding the magnolia is also oval shaped.

Oval wooden chargers are also from Horchow or Neiman Marcus. I have had them for sometime, maybe a year or 2. The dinner and salad plates and bowls are all oval. Even the saucer is oval.

Even the silver plated flatware are kinda oval, isn't it?

I bought the wine glasses from the Dollar Store before Christmas. I paired them with Marquis by Waterford tea glasses.

This covered server is not all white but I wanted to use it. I bought it from the Villeroy & Boch store in Fort Myers that was closing, at a very discounted price, while I was staying with my daughter after she had her baby boy . I think I paid around $14 for it. It's not oval either but it has oval fruits, lol. Are those cherries?

All white tea set from Ross. The pierced cake pedestal is also from Ross.

The busts that are displayed on my dining room wall are white.

Hi sweet lady...

Girlfriend, I just read your note...so happy that you stopped by for a visit! I do apologize at being so long to come by...it's been so busy at my place...between Russell being home (vacation time) and summer projects! I haven't spent nearly as much time at the computer. Anyway, I am sooo glad that I DID finally get over! I sure wouldn't have wanted to miss your fabulous summer white tablescape! It's absolutely gorgeous...just exquisite!!! Ohhh...and your new oval dishes are soooo pretty! I love the ornate detailing! I also just love all the pretty "cut-out" dishware, candleholders, etc! They just look so lacy...don't you think? Not only did I really enjoy your fabulous table but I also loved getting a peek at your beautiful dining room and some of your pretties that you have displayed there! Thank you so much for sharing your exquisite table and beautiful home with us...such a treat, my friend!

I can see that you have been really busy this summer as well! I visited your last post about your trip to Florida! Ohhh...what a beautiful place! Yes, it's just horrific what this oil spill has done to our beautiful beaches! Like you, I pray for a solution and SOON!!! Well Darlin', I will talk with you later...again, I am so sorry about being so long to get by for a visit!

Love ya,
Chari
