I am a Spook!

I am a Spook, literally! I had a group of friends from College and we called ourselves "The Spooks". We have always been very close and still communicate with each other and have reunions every year or at least every other year.
I dedicate this tablescape to them, my very dearest friends, The Spooks!

I am going back to Florida soon to help my daughter Rochelle with her girls. Although Rea is done with all her chemos with complete response, she still has to undergo radiation and monoclonal antibody introduction, mostly as preventative measures. Thank you so much for everybody who is praying for her. They are really helping. God is indeed listening.
I started with an orange beaded tablecloth, then I added black leather plate chargers, followed by ghost dinner plates. I did not use any salad plates because I did not want to cover the design of the dinner plates. Instead, I used these small ghost plates for layering.
Pumpkin napkins wrapped in black evergreen tree rings.
Orange flatware given to me by my son and DIL one Christmas.

Black goblets and amber champagne flutes.

I really like the orange beaded tablecloth. I bought it from St. Maarten in the Virgin Islands many years ago.

Presenting the Spooks:  We try to meet every year or at least every other. This was in 2002 in Destin, FL. We rented a beach house there.
Caribbean cruise in 2007
This was in 2012 when John and I hosted our reunion here at our house.
The next pic was in Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada, 2013. We are more now cause we found the rest of the gang.
Thank you for your visits. It is so much appreciated and I am very thankful to the hostesses of these memes that I am linking with.

How wonderful to keep in touch with friends that way, meeting every year or two! And I'm happy to hear that your dear granddaughter is doing better. She is still on my prayer list.

This is so cool! I have often wondered how you and your friends came to be the "Spooks"? How lucky you are to still have these friendships! Your decor is absolutely wonderful...very "Christine"!

Love to you and you family and that little fighter, Rea!

Praise the Lord that Rea is doing so well. Your daughter is blessed to have you standing by her side through this hard journey. I think that your precious table would put a great big smile on Rea's face. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay

I'm glad you guys have recently been able to find more of your old gang! That's so much fun to reunite and share more good times in fun places!

You did a really great job with your Halloween tablescape! It's got a little fun, a little sophistication, and a little creep factor...everything we need to enjoy the fun!

Oh how fun- love the "spook" table! Those ghost plates are too cute! Love those ghostly lanterns too. You are so lucky to have kept this long friendship- truly an unusual thing these days! I'm glad to know Rea is doing well. Praying for her continued positive response to the treatments. Take care, Liz

What fun things you have for a spooky table. What I like best though is the gathering of friends. How lucky you are that everyone makes such an effort.
