Bunny Table, March, 2013

Happy Easter to all! I won't be home for Easter but I thought I would set a bunny table so DH will have something pretty to look at while I am gone.

I will be going to FL to decorate our house there and to visit the kids and grandkids. I am so excited! It will be so much fun!

I used my Polish reticulated plate chargers, ooops sorry, I think they are Portuguese and so are the Bordallo Pinheiro bunny dinner plates.

Then I topped them with 3 different salad plates. I only set the table for 3 so I can fit a tray with a tea set on one end.

Aren't my bunny napkins cute?

Heavy cast iron bunny placecard holders from Pottery Barn and created bunny napkins.

Bunny S & P shakers I bought from Celebration, FL a few years ago.
A mix of teapot, bunny creamer and Bordallo Pinheiro sugar container.
A happy family of bunnies inside their cloche home!

 Lenox Butterfly Meadows tablecloth.
 Napoleon Bee flatware

You all have a Happy Easter! For the meantime, I will be very busy opening boxes and decorating our home in FL. My daughter took a picture of the boxes she has received from my on line shopping and put in our garage, lol. Isn't my grandson Nathan a cutie?

Yard Transformation and Resurrection, Spring 2013

It is a beautiful day today with the azaleas in full bloom and showcasing their beauty!  I thought I would show you pictures of the yard that I just took today and also pictures from how it used to look before.

We used to see deers all the time in the backyard but after putting up a fence when we built a pool, I have only seen them one more time. They are still around but mostly in the front yard and the road. The middle picture of the mosaic below was the backyard before the pool was built and below it is now, the view from our home office where I am blogging from.

Used to be, we could not go beyond the arbor because it looked scary. I was always imagining lots of snakes crawling all over there, lol.
Here is another picture.

But look at it now! My friend Noemie helped me wack everything back there and I placed the stepping stones going down

Our property slopes down behind the house.

We decided to do some terracing using railroad ties. We had to redo it after we built a pool cause it made a big mess.

I decided to have a secret garden down there.

View of the secret garden from the gazebo bridge.

I placed stepping stones in 3 places so that we can access the secret garden from 3 directions.

This is the view from the pool deck.

The camellias are still blooming too.

The azaleas are also blooming in the side yard outside the fence. I have not touched that area.
To the right is this.  More azales down there. Do you see how our property is situated so high? We can see our neighbors' roofs.

This is my "Deb Tree". One of my best friends, Debjani, moved to NY and she told me to get her magnolia tree. So, yesterdayJohn, friends Gary and Brenda (who Debjani gave her lemon tree to) went to their backyard to dig the trees up. John and I planted it today at the bottom of the hill by the creek in the back. It will always remind me of my dear friend and all the good times we spent together here.
Spring is my favorite time of the year. I just love the flowers blooming all over. Thank you for stopping by. So sorry, I posted so many pictures but I just wanted to document the transformation.
