My daughter's Wedding

What a way to start a blog! My daughter just got married last Sunday. The setting was beautiful, on Davis Island in Tampa, FL. Let me see if I can describe it. It is overlooking the water. The chairs were divided in 2 rows, the aisle lined with yellow rose balls. The string trio (oops did not capture the 3rd person) playing the music while the gazebo was standing in the front, dressed with yellow and white roses.

At some time, a Carnival cruise ship even sailed by. Behind the chairs is the veranda where the appetizers and cocktails were served before dinner. From the veranda, is a double door where we entered into a dining room with round tables dressed in white linens topped with black napkins and centerpieces with yellow roses. The bride picked yellow, black and gray for her wedding colors so you will see these colors repeatedly. Shown below are the place cards and through the window, the dining room is peeking.

The groom to be and his men patiently and nervously waited while the father of the bride was 15 min. late. (First glitch...LOL) My son is the only brown one (Filipino) standing in the center.
The bride with mom (that's me!), and the maids of honor (bride's sister and daughter). Am I confusing you? This is her second marriage and hopefully the last.
And so the procession began! The 2 flower girls were so cute in their yellow outfits.

The coin bearer went on high gear and sprinted in, but where is his coin pillow?

The ring bearer, my grandbaby Brendan, would not walk so his mom, my daughter Tina, had to carry him. Good thing he is so adorable that he can get away with anything. LOL!

Here are the matron of honor, maid of honor and bridesmaids. Can you believe my 10 year old granddaughter was a maid of honor? LOL! It was her request.

The newlyweds look happy!

My sweet granddaughter was having mixed emotions.

My daughter in law and 2 daughters had a great time. They look drunk too! LOL

Our 2 youngest grandkids, Zoe and Brendan were as happy as they could be. Aren't they precious?

In spite of a few glitches, which actually started at the rehearsal dinner (Ruby Tuesday forgot to cook the food but they rushed when the groom to be got there to pick it up). As a consolation, they did not charge him anything. We were hungry but 50 people got to eat for free so it turned out alright.

Everybody at the reception had fun eating and dancing. The cake was beautiful and delicious and I thought the cake topper was really cute.

My daughter had the cake topper custom made with 4 figures on it: bride, groom, her daughter and their dog, a Jack Russell.

I think my daughter did a great job in planning this wedding. Everything was so beautiful and so organized. The glitches of course, were all beyond her control. BTW, did you like her gown? She bought the gown, just a simple satin gown and I manually added all the bling and beadings. We (I and my daughters) made all the party favors. I also created the bouquets and corsages but the bridal entourage did the table setting. I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.

As usual I'm late to the party, but I made it. So glad that I found the link to your blog while I was trying to catch up with what everyone was doing. Christine, you are a lady with many talents, and if this is an example of what lies ahead, I'm buckling myself in for a wonderful adventure.

This was definitely a beautiful beginning to what is destined to be a wonderful marriage. Trials and tribulations are certain to come along, but when you can share a burden or problem, it makes it so much lighter and easier to handle. Congrats to the bride and groom and to the two families that have now blended.
